Uplay Recommended Track Drop #49

Uplay Recommended AND A new Feature Update? It would almost be like we were spoiling you if we weren’t enjoying all of this stuff as well! Anyhow, there is always work to be done, so let’s dive into what we have today.
Alien Assault – fix by SwampBalls
Who doesn’t like fending off waves of Aliens with the sole intention of destroying your planet? Well, good, because this is a Trials track and you are focused on riding your bike. The beginning of this track seems like “just another space station”, which is actually a pretty cool concept in itself and features some pretty well done animations on the doors, but the real fun begins when you blast outside and come face to face with driving on rotating asteroids. It’s seriously one of the more cool and innovative uses of rotation tools that I’ve seen lately.

Have you ever had the urge to go riding through an abandoned and “unfit for occupation” building without the obvious and very real danger of tetanus? Well, here’s your chance! What appears to be an ordinary track with some fairly generic decoration is actually highly decorated and fairly well done. Animations are nicely done, used in a way that they aren’t screaming for your attention (hot air baloooooon!) and leave you to focus on the technically difficult driving line.

I guess I pulled the short straw, because this track is pretty obviously a Ninja track, but hey.. Can’t win them all, right? If you don’t play Ninja tracks, then be prepared for controller snapping rage. You are in a dark cave, it’s cold and you better have far better than average technical abilitites if you want to see the finish line.

I’m just going to say this with the excitement that I feel. Roach TRACCKKK! High flow, technical skill required, solid theme, nice use of decoration and, most importantly, this track is super fun to play. Multiple “worlds” are woven together to form a definite feeling of progression and driving through a waterfall, while not sounding nearly as awesome as it looks, is a great way to transition between thematic elements.

A multiple driving line Hard track? I’m game. It doesn’t hurt that this one takes place on a pretty sweet Pirate Ship. Technically difficult line, some awesome animations and some obvious attention to the little details makes this one to play for sure. Can ye’ make it ta shore when ye’ ship snaps in two? Arrrggghhhhhhh.

Boom, 5 new tracks for you to throw your times down on. Which one is your favorite? What awesome tracks are we missing? Maybe drop a shout out for your favorites. You might be the catalyst for that builder catching the train that stops at Uplay Recommendedville.

Haven't played for a while as been super busy which was a nice bonus as had 3-4 weeks of Uplay picks to play... that ~Antegria~ track punished me badly though (118 faults I think)!
