Sorry, new to this game.
How do you initiate contact/find multiplayer sessions or games? I saw a vid on YT that displayed some info about PvP mode, but when I go to that on the map, it does not show any lobbies like in the vid.
Now, I've opened Crew Roster, & it also shows nothing, except a few friends that have the game but are never on when I am. When I set it to "All" it shows no one else. Should it show anyone else playing, or do I have to be a certain level b4 I can play in public, multiplayer session or access lobbies?
Thanks for your help, as far as I can tell there is no online guide that delves into this game with any depth, & the in game wiki is, uh, very general.
Liking the game so far, sure seems hard to get the really cool cars, like Lambos & Ferraris, unlocked.
Also:
I saw another vid on YT that displays a "behind the wheel, looking out the windshield" camera view, is this available, or has it been removed? Or is the vid bs & this view never was available on The Crew?
Crew roster, no clue, couldn't figure it out/didn't care.
Online multiplayer/PVP. You sign up for it, should give you a 3-6 minute timer. Click on PVP icon on map, Public, Crew or Solo. From what I heard, Crew PVP hardly ever happens so I stick to joining solo.
For the camera, I think C is the default to change view, at least on PC. Cockpit view is there but generally it sux for all C-spec cars.
Thanx for your reply.Originally Posted by mamasan78 Go to original post

No PVP icons on map, ever.
I think the cockpit view is only on PC, is grayed out on Xbox 360.
I have tried everything suggested, opening all the ports listed, disabling firewall, & DMZing my Xbox 360, nothing worked. As I've said on other post, I've never had a problem with other multiplayer games, including other Ubisoft titles, like Trials Evolution & Trials Fusion. Red Lynx would not allow these problems, unlike some that sit up in their Ivory Tower collecting the dough for games that don't work. I'll play the solo stuff, then trade this game off.![]()
indeed there is no cockpit view for the xbox 360 and that is not the only thing that its missing, like no patch/update since 28th jan and none of the new races, modes to have come out since launch.Originally Posted by ZREXMike Go to original post
now back on topic..
when i was playing on the 360 i did all the forwarding and everything else stated on these forums and still i could not see anything on map or in game, in the end i reset my router back to factory settings incase it was a setting that was stopping it and bingo! i could see others on the map and finally started seeiing people in game after a few weeks of playing. support finally answered me about a month later!!
Okay, I finally got to see a friend playing, & got with him on some story missions, & pvp missions, & seen, met up with a few people. 2day tho, I see a coupla friends on the map but can't see them from my car. So I must take back the mean things I said b4, as the game works somewhat. It is still a long way from MMO tho, as I still generally can't see anyone on the map, & PVP is mostly not working, I can sit for a long time waiting & no one shows up.
One friend thought you had to be lvl 50 to even play with another person online in the game, I let him know that's not true. I'm still learning about sending "join my crew" invites, & how that system works. It seems like if a player is in one crew, he can't be in another.
Now, I don't know what changed to make the multiplayer start working (somewhat) but meeting up with a friend & buying a dirt car seemed to open things up a bit, because at that point I started seeing the pvp lobbies on the map. All the changes I made to my router/modem I had canceled, since they apparently didn't work, & the firewall is enabled. All this multiplayer activity has been after that.
I guess this game is more aptly called an "online multiplayer with friends" game. But I did see 2 people from my car yesterday, & met 1 or 2 in the pvp lobbies. Nothing at all 2day tho.
