Greetings! The Crew forums are now archived and accessible in read-only mode, please go to the new platform to discuss the game

    Worst balancing I have ever seen in any game.

    Really just that. How hard can it be to balance cars with fictional attributes?? Because that is what their attributes are after adding a spec kit, right??
    How hard can it be to make all cars !almost! equally fast in terms of top speed and acceleration, but keep their unique handling??

    The person responsible must be the same genius who came up with this ridiculously bad UI. Windows popping up, blocking your view on the street to inform you that there is a checkpoint or the skill target. 1 million little windows and texts popping up one after another, after every skill challenge, each with a beep and a 5 seconds info that you just earned 50 bucks by selling the performance part. In terms of bad ideas in a very long time of gaming history, The Crew definitely takes the cake.

    But my final verdict is, Ubisquish are going to milk this game like they milked Ghost Recon Phantoms, mark my words. Instead of fixing bugs and balancing the game they will add 1 cash shop car after another to keep the coins rolling and everyone who wants to stay competitive will be getting the new OP cars.

    I thought they gave every upgraded car the same performance to stop people using only Skylines and Aventadors in races. If what you say is true, it really sucks!
    About the UI, I couldn't agree more.

    It's not all about the speed or performance of the car, it's about the skills of the driver. I can race against people who are much much higher levels than I am, with their souped up cars and such, but still destroy them.

    I want to see you do it against me without use a pop car (LaFerrari and Skyline today). The point is I don't expect bad drivers (wheel/hc) or players (pad-kb/fa) all the time, specially while I climb the leaderboard. My Street Golf can't even get close to a Skyline. My Alfa can't compete against LaFerrari.

    Add to this the stupid NOS management (stream...............) and my wish to play is geting low and low every day I play. Yesterday I played a good number of PvP races just to prove my point.

    To win I need:
    • use NOS as if it is a RPG skill... all the f* time;
    • use the top cars, not what I want and personalized with care;
    • play dirty, because someone will every race hit your back and make you lose the turn or spin like crazy;
    • give up cockpit view with hardcore when you can't have a chance against a good fa player using 3rd person view.

    And I'm saying all of this even winning 60~70% of all the races yesterday.
    I will buy PCars until see what NFS will give to us.
    I'm sure now which The Crew is and will ever be just a huge arcade game. I miss the TDU2 good times.

    but its "impossible" to make every car competitive in the game that would be just too logical.But seriously im losing more and more interest in this game with every update/hot fix I rescently started playing BL2 abd after checking in on the crew after 2 weeks of not playing I really honestly feel that I am not missing out on anything.

    Balancing is to give equally skilled drivers equal chances with balanced cars.

    First problem:
    Too different car classes are joined into single Perf class. It overloaded and must be divided. For example, P1 and P2. But I see at least three classes: low perf, avg perf, hypercars (with performance that even comparable to best circuit cars)

    Second:
    Cars do not have to be very close in performance. Drafting helps to be competitive. Possible objective is to make a large number of vehicles competitive with drafting.

    Obviously Edd, you dont use a wheel. FFB will muck up your landing everytime, and in any car in the game, you cant hammer the throttle through corners like u can with a controller, but I just straight up refuse to use one, and I will stick to my wheel, where I can feel my car, and actually learn how to drive instead of just picking the ******-mobile in each spec and getting a guaranteed win every time. I just raced you and u went first..... in a LaFerrari, big surprise there.

    Yep, keyboard.

    P.S.: I seen, people says, that FFB is better in Sport.
