proposition for a compromise
Now when we lost a quite big source of earning coins (gifts now one per day) what about for example lowering the prices of some upgrades because some are just insane.
Any other ideas?

The gift box has only existed for a few months, and we've only had 1000 coins PER GIFT for about a month now, so most of us had to deal with the other ways of getting coins up until then. I think you'll be fine. This game is sort of meant to be a grind. It took me a full year to upgrade my bikes, and I play every day. I wouldn't worry about it.

I think those of us who have played the game long before the bunker and gifting existed have a little different perspective on everything. I actually quit the game after playing for about 6 months because I hit a point where the grind just seemed overwhelming. I'd be saving coins for a week just to do a single upgrade, and then have to wait forever to apply it and I just got burned out with how long it was taking to progress. Constantly running out of gas was also super frustrating, I just wanted to keep grinding!
I'm glad I came back and stuck with it, but progression in this game takes a lot of dedication and time.
I know a lot of people aren't big fans of spending money on the game, but the one thing I did notice is that I would often have buyers remorse after buying anything because you burn through the resources so quickly. I wish they would be more generous with what you get for spending real money on the game. Maybe their model is working out well for them, but I really think more people would consider spending $5, $10, or $20 if it gave them a little more of a boost than it currently does.
In the end, none of us are forced to play this free game or spend money to boost our efforts, it is up to us. Looking forward to seeing what the future holds for this game.
