Bloody amazing when you think about it... so many free add on aircraft, maps, campaigns etc for both the orginal IL2 and FB
It'll be a damn cold day in Hell before Microsoft do anything similar for their shoddy combat flight sims. If there's any justice in the world, Oleg and co will clean up with PF and BoB.
Lots of thanks to everyone who's contributed to free stuff for these sims... especially Gibbage for the Spit V

Yes indeed.
Thanks for all the continued support. Worth bearing in mind that there is usually no royalty / post shipment payment for game software at all so a great deal of this work is probably coming in at a big loss for Maddox. Thanks to all the 3rd party modellers too.
Not everyone here is an ungrateful crybaby, it just seems like it sometimes :>

I'm very grateful for all the new planes too. When I compare the support and updates to this game compared to all the other games I've played, it's just head and shoulders above the rest.
At this point I think I've played this game series more and longer than ANY other game now, and I still haven't flown every plane yet.
Thanks,

Aye, huge thanks to the modelers and MG!
At the end of the day we ought to sit back and forget about .50cal convergence and the 190's cockpit bars, and just look at what this community has accomplished over the years. And the most amazing part is how much Oleg and MG are part of the community, not outside it.

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.
