Well again that's why i thought for those who feel there should just be a black screen and 0 communication could maybe make suggestions that could be a happy medium for them if there is a happy medium. Its like you said you cant make every gamer happy, no development house to date has created that unicorn of a game where not a single gamer didnt have something bad to say lol. Its all about compromise even if its in the form of match settings on custom created matches for clans and such. The fact is lets be honest the longevity of this game is going to fall on the clans and those custom matches and not in the general public match maker. So if there is a way to give the most hardest core old school players something close but maybe in the form of match settings so those who want those hardcore stripped down matches can have them without effecting those who enjoy everything the game has to offer in the public match maker.

DMDT / DMTNT is difficult to reconcile with the simple availability of third party VOIP programs. Compound that with the potential to disengage players. R6:S is by its very nature, adversarial (competitive). I want the players on my team (pubs or otherwise) to be as engaged in the match as I am. Removing the ability for a dead player to communicate with the team, signals to that player that it is time to disengage. He has to flip a switch and "get back into it" at the start of the next round. I don't like that. Keep him on the hook, keep him involved, so when Round 2/3/4/5 ticks over, he's primed and ready to go.

If you're looking to enhance the immersive and realistic elements of the game, I find that addressing DMDT is "barking up the wrong tree." Remove elements of the HUD if you want to introduce immersive elements into the game. Much simpler to implement, much harder to circumnavigate, with a greater boon to the immersive experience. In short, more bang for your buck.

I try to be nice, polite and entertaining in these forums... but when I read a statement like this from a UbiSoft representative... it's time to take a stand.

    ________

Thanks for your "simplistic" opinions. But I find your and UbiSoft's explanation and positions on this issue totally without merit. This is in no way realistic. If this feature is now in stone for all Siege games and can not be turned off... then you've helped to decide my position on RB6 Siege.
