This map is superb, it really had me puzzled in places and I almost gave up.
The map is very well thought out and the inclusion of the A.I. werks incredibly well, basically if you don't take those snipers down from the towers then you are going to really struggle so this forces you to learn the map to find the weapons and plants etc.
Sometimes the guards in the tower drop a sniper rifle which on some occasions lands on the ground so it's a bonus if you get that.
I have played this map a lot and after going under that gate where the green bushes are I didn't see the way to go next because it was above the extraction point I just figured that it must be another way which had me thinking the lowered terrain under that gate was a red herring (how wrong I was)
So eventually I came up with what I thought was the way to beat the map but it didn't make any sense (video at the bottom shows the shortcut / cheat) Anyhow I kept playing and eventually worked it out but this was a difficult map - very clever / sneaky / cunning.
The area with the grappel the 1st time I was down there I didn't see the grappel point so thought again it was an area I should not be in and I thought I was stuck with no way out, this map gives a real sense of acomplishment when you finally beat it.
I really hope truesurv1val makes some more like this its an amazing map in my opinion for the Escape Theme.
PART 2
Even outside the playable zone it all looks very nice with the surrounding area going off into the distance - some lovely scenery.
If you look from 1:48 on the video above that shows the only flaw I found where you can shortcut to the end - luckily I kept playing to eventually find the correct route.
Well done, finished in a great time.
Too bad about the short cut, i closed down a dozen other short cuts from the camp too bad i missed this one.
I guess sometimes you get tunnel vision as a mapper and overlook these simple things, thats why beta testing was a good option in fc3, but its a shame thats not possible anymore in fc4,nor cant i delete my maps. Still cant figure it out why ubi made these choices. Isnt obvious that now many people will upload 10 versions of a bad map.
