reminder to the readers, i am doing everything correctly but (space)-DEVMODE only opens up the far cry folder.

What exactly do you mean when you say 'space-DEVMODE' only opens the Farcry folder?

Do you mean that when you click on your Farcry shortcut icon on your desktop it opens the Farcry folder & not launch the game?

Or, are you dropping down the console in-game & typing -DEVMODE? .... Which is incorrect ofcourse.

I assume it is the former not the latter, as you did say you were able to use -DEVMODE initially but .... I have to ask ;-)

Also, 'SpiderWoW' has a good point .... have you or another person, changed the Farcry.exe file? Some people do that when they want to launch games without using the original game CD. I.e. they are using a 'no-cd' crack farcry.exe file .... If this is the case, you may need to reinstall the original Farcry.exe file.
If you do not have it, I believe you can download it from various Farcry websites (or just copy it from a friend or have a friend email it to you)

OK, running out of ideas for now .... off to play Farcry with that great SP modders map, Outpost 22 .... played it through twice already!

possibly it can also be a missing/invalid or corrupted Devmode.lua in your Farcry Folder (did not try that because now i am at work).

So what i had to do is you go to your far cry folder then bin then the actual game click it and make a shortcut then it will be in the bin then you just slide or copy and paste onto your desktop
