Bought this game to test a new vid card (GTX 970). Grahics are great and the card works well, but the game is unplayable because there is no means of saving games. Apparently there is no Quick Save or other manual save by design --- a stupid design decision (among many others). Apparently the game is supposed to autosave at various checkpoints --- except it doesn't. Every time you restart the game it starts at the beginning, forcing you to sit through the same tedious cut scene again and again, and shoot the same enemies again and again. Gets really boring after a half hour of that.
Other stupid design decisions:
* Can't escape out of the string of logos at launch,
* Can't escape out of the cut scene movies
Submitted a support ticket, told to "wait for chat agent to appear." Ten mins later, still no chat agent. Re-submitted via email. Page says I can expect a reply "in a few business days."
Forget it. Don't have the time or patience for this bee-ess. The game DVDs are going back to Amazon as defective. Maybe if Ubisoft releases a version with a sensible, user-friendly play design I'll re-buy it.
You can, with a startup parameter "-skipintro".Originally Posted by DitchDRM Go to original post
If you do a search for save game info on other threads it completely explains how the system works so it will be less frustrating for you. With a PC you can do manual saves of your game files and reload them if desired to replay from that save later.Originally Posted by DitchDRM Go to original post
And....yes they should have had a save system at least as good as FC3.
Really? Would you have a link to one of those threads?Originally Posted by AndyJackson2012 Go to original post
I did a search for "save game" and found dozens of links. Didn't read them all, but those I read did not give that info.
