Eh, more of a work in progress but it's an idea I've had bumping around in my head so I would have an excuse to play Farcry 4 more:
So you think you've beaten Frycry 4? Think again. After learning your the true King of Kyrat from Pagan Min you realize by backing Sabal/Amita you've only created a more troubled country now controlled by those you once thought allies. Sabal is steeped in tradition and will stop at nothing to achieve a unified Kyrat under its old laws and traditions while Amita is ruthless in her goals of bringing Kyrat into the 21st century by any means necessary.
The people of Kyrat need a true leader, not one backed by bloodshed and solders. Yet to bring either of these leaders down you'll need to be ruthless yourself and yet have chances to show the people how benevolent or ruthless you can be. Spared Sabal/Amita when you sided with Sabal/Amita? Another rebellion will be lead by Sabal/Amita somewhere on the map and you can use this to your advantage as they fight amongst themselves. Killed Sabal/Amita when you sided with Sabal/Amita? You'll face a unified enemy whose learned a few new tricks in dealing with threats.
You begin your fathers true vision of Kyrat (however you justify it) by taking back the Royal Palace. Doing so will free former soldiers from
Pagan Min's rule and give you a starting place for your campaign. The bell towers are in control of the rebels, leaving you with a "fog of war"
map once again.
Features:
Cleansing Ritual:
- Cleanse yourself and become reborn to claim the throne of Kyrat legitimately for a more challenging experience. (All skills, weapon unlocks, and Karma reset)
- Or seize the throne for a large Karma loss and keep your current skills and weapon unlocks.
Start a Family:
- Take a wife if you fancy one and protect her if the palace comes under attack. Possibly adopt Bhadra to look after her or hunt her down.
Upgradable Palace:
- Add Gardens, better defenses, a war room, a helipad, a garage, a vault, trophy room, better interiors...etc...etc
Customizable Soldiers:
- Decide what uniforms your soldiers will wear into battle, whether it be pink pajamas or traditional camo painted to your specifications.
A New Enemy (Kinda):
- The rebels have gained access to Pagan's equipment through conquest and now sport heavy gunners, hunters, Molotov Throwers, and snipers.
Events:
- Events will happen randomly throughout the campaign that are not triggered by taking a quest or military position. Rather it will be time based and include events (that will bring to your attention via radio chatter) for example:
- An avalanche that introduces Yetis to an area of Kyrat
- A foreign power supplying new equipment to the rebels like APCs, troop trucks, anti-aircraft vehicles, better weapons and equipment
that can be looted by you so your forces can gain access to them as well.
- A local protest that can be dealt with harshly or peacefully
- Other smaller events that can increase as you gain power like an ambushed convoy, ask for assistance either monetarily or militarily
to increase your Karma, or hunting down a dangerous animal/person.
Improved AI:
- Soldiers/rebels may retreat if they see a battle is going badly for them. Your enemy may even throw down their weapons and kneel to
surrender, leaving you the option of capturing, killing, or letting them go. (Capturing will not affect your Karma)
Expanded Skill Tree:
- Old skills will remain but will be expanded to include skills such as:
- Ability to call in a Mortar team/move a motor yourself
- Ability to call in air support (possible monetary cost)
- Ability to call the tiger if you have freed Shangri-La
- Ability to temporarily tame animals and use them against enemies
- Ability to rally fleeing allies
- Ability to swim faster
Negative Karma:
- Instead of being loved you can be feared depending on your actions. Like positive Karma, there are rewards for being in the negative.
Increased Interaction:
- Talk to NPC villagers for random quests. Depending on your Karma they may point you to a rebel hideout, tell you
about a cache of loot, lead you into an ambush, tell you of a rebel informant, save a family member from mercenaries,
retrieve a family heirloom in rebel territory, or ask for a handout.
- Improve the prosperity and look of villages so they can offer you better items or turn them into slave camps to speed up
production/support of your war machine and provide a weekly payout.
- Turn bell towers into propaganda centers/guard towers or invest funds to return them to their former glory.
- Trees can now be torn down to create road blocks, make better cover, crush enemies, perhaps even make a bridge if placed right.
- Doors can be kicked in, car doors can be kept open while moving to hit enemies, change the channel of the radio station
