    Some questions about the game

    Hey there fellow gamers,

over the time, I got some questions about the game, which i couldn't answer myself.
Can you maybe help me out a little bit?

    1) How can I delete friends from my friendlist (ingame)?
I did that on Uplay (on my PC), but the deleted friends still show up in Trials...
(Because some of "friends" won't give me fuel or golden tickets - so there is no need for me to keep them. I wont gift them, I only gift aktive players, who return the favour.)

    2) Over the time I got some magnets, nearly all from the slot machine.
When I use it, what are the effects? Do only normal races /checkpoints give twice the money or also the bunker games? And what about the rewards in the slot machine itself, do they double too?
At the moment I got 52 fuel capacity, so the magnets are a bit useless, with that fuel I can only do like 10 races...

    3) @Mantis:
I got 4 missing plan parts for the mantis - I'm at the ASCA missions quite a time and never get a reward like a plan for the mantis. How on earth can I get that damn Mantis bike? -.-
In another thread I read about doing the ASCA missions and then you get the mantis blueprints...but like two or three ASCA missions, overall 50 challenges with players, I got none...

    Thanks for your help

I can not answer the first question for you, but I can answer 2 and 3 for you:

    2): If you activate a Coin Magnet, you get twice as many coins than you get normally per checkpoint. This goes for all tracks, and I think it happens in the Bunker too ( I'm not too sure );
3): The Mantis is a bike you get from the little girl that is addicted to candy. If you complete her missions, she gives you Mantis blueprint pieces.

    Hope I answered your questions.

    Thanks!

Do the magnet also doubles the reward from the bunker showdowns? E.g. when I normale have a reward of 7,5k, would I get 15k instead? Or is it just for the races?

I did all the candy missions, that's the problem...
Maybe there is a bug, because I hadn't the Bronco at that point of the game?

The magnet does not double the reward from Bunker Showdowns, no.

The only thing I can suggest is that you create a support ticket.. Because I have no idea how to solve your bug.

Since this toppic is open and I have general questions too, I just add them:

Q4: How long will the "part grinding" missions last? I got the tire III bike recently and between each new tier III track there is an insane part grinding mission requireing to beat an opponent on a tier III track (fun part) and grind level V parts. This lasts forever and is not fun. I alreadz got the second mission with tier V parts and after looking at the complete world map, I am VERY far from discovering the Tier III tracks. Will this grinding stop after having wasted a level 5 part of each type or will it continue between each new track?

Q5: Hoiw is the leaderboard calculated? After increasing my time on a track, my global leaderboard point seems to increase randomly - though I am pretty sure it is not random. Anione got it?

Q6: Is there a list of "prefferd bike" to achieve platinium medals?

    Thanks

Grinding never stops; if its not quest grinding, then it will be upgrade-grinding. You have just now reached the point where its going to be serious for a while; at least 3 Tier5 parts (maybe 3 more in another quest too) before you will see the end for a while.

That is a subject of some debate; its not like they have told us. But in general, you dont get much score bonus unless you are making silver or above..... and yuo dont have most of the score possible unless you have Plat. After Plat, you score will continue to increase slightly with good times, but not by the leaps that it makes when going from Silver to Plat.

One thing we are fairly sure of is that each track is worth a constant amount of points, and that if you are getting decently ranked Plat+ scores, you will tend to make in the neighborhood of 770K to 830K per track. (easy to confirm where you are by taking your total number of tracks and you global score and dividing them out; most top people are in the 800K+ range on average... and dont forget the 3 PVP tracks). I personally take note of my score immediately prior to playing a track, and play it until I am decently ranked... and have almost always made 750-800K, so this is something that has been pretty solid for me.

Q6: Is there a list of "prefferd bike" to achieve platinium medals?
If you play in the bunker you will need all your bikes to be decently upgraded.... but when doing the quests and setting good times on the tracks in each tier, it goes like this:
    - Agile Bikes are usually the best option. A 3/3/3/3 Agile bike can usually stomp a 6/6/6/6 Balance Bike... dont decide purely by upgrades.
    - Speed Bikes are next important. Most tracks are built for Agile, but some tracks are best with Speed. There is a topic that listed the tracks a while back but really... see below for how to tell Agile vs Speed....
    - Balance Bikes seem to be what the quests tend to focus on.... but that because RL wants you to have lots of upgrading to do later. "Balanced" means they are strictly average, and they arent really GOOD at anything. You will think you WANT to use these in the beginning because your quests give them to you early and force you to upgrade them some.....but you need to move on. (NOTE: its not that they arent decent, or "good enough"... its just that they arent the best. Ever)

Easiest way to see what kind of bike to use on a track? Just go check the bikes shown when you click on the top 10 riders in the leaderboard, and it will be really, really obvious. And take note that 99% of the time you will not see a balance bike in that list (confirms what I said above)

Just to follow up from above, you CAN get decent times (and platinum medals) with balance bikes depending on the track, the tracks that are the most problem are the very technical tracks with tricks requiring more extreme "lean." Before I really focused on getting into the top 100 on every track, I was setting new track records with balance bikes in the bunker, but those balance bikes were also fully upgraded. Once you are really trying to get top times within reach of the world record, you're going to be using the agile or speed bike as xitooner said.

Thanks a lot for the answers. Just a few follow-up comments

This is purely psychological, but the "frustrating" part is not (yet) to have to grind for the lvl 5 parts but to waste them on what I consider useless (quests) while I could use them for somethinf fun and useful (upgrades). Glad to hear the quest part might be over soon.

Regarding the scores, I have already maxed out my Tango, so I am starting to get some silver. I am not sure to which extend the medal itself is the clue. For some track I "jumped" on the track leaderboard from top 30% to top 4% while still being "gold" (went from golden medal to golden medal despite the time improvement). It led to a very stron improvement on the global leaderboard while still not being silver.

Thanks for the hints regarding the bikes. I like the bunker as it is pretty fun but I still s*** at it (which is fine as long as I am having fun.I wont be much of an hardcore player. Had a lot of fun on trial evolution but got quite hammerd by the difficulty and fine piloting of trials fusion. Frontier is good for me due to his much more "casual" approach (bikes feel heavier, tracks are simpler, medals easier to get... etc)).

    Thanks again

i have also a question.....i realized when happened to me in showdown that if u do exactly the same time with your opponent in a track the track ia going blank, like noone has the lead...if u play the track again u need to beat the time or still noone has it..for example if i do 22.555 and he does 22.555 noone has the track and to get it u should beat 22.555 time....so happened this to me and i had the lead of the one track the other had the lead of the second track and noone has the lead of the third track..finally i got the lead of his track and won but i wanna ask if he has 1 of 3 and i have 1 of 3 and noone has the lead of the third track both win? or both lose?
