We should definitely keep this thread alive and i would sign every petition. I contacted the support a couple of times between oct 15 and jan 16. In this forum and the german one as well. I only got a unsatisfied answer, which seems to be the same that everybody got. Like "we are aware of that bug and we are still working on it". Yeah right.
And it seems to be the same problem on ps4 and xbox-one. I have never been treated so bad as a customer, which is makig me kinda sad. Yet, i don't give of hope, that there will be a solution somewhere in 2016 or 17 or 18.

That 1)they should probably be working the issue not only on the current build of the game but also on a very early build because the stacking of updates may have altered how/if this problem comes up, 2)doing their tests on closed or offline systems will likely NEVER reproduce the issue we're having?

This is where the lack of communication with the actual people doing the "fixing" is causing so much frustration. Honestly, Ubisoft as this dev teams publisher, should be pushing (or forcing) them to open a dialogue with us to get this thing worked out. We're here, we can be an asset, freaking take advantage of that already so this can all be done. The sooner they get this worked out, the sooner we'll stop *****ing and be out of their hair, and the sooner we can all move on. Not to mention, just the effort of doing this would go a long way to mending a lot of the frustration we're all feeling.
I mentioned all of this in my ticket, I talked about both the many great solutions coming out of the community (this thread in particular) as well as the need to open a dialogue with the community. As for not being able to reproduce the bug, you'd think that going back to the earlier builds that this glitch actually came as a result of and conducting their tests on a normal, online system to try and replicate standard user conditions would both be no-brainers. Members of the community are unfortunately "replicating" this glitch almost every day, so it baffles me that the devs haven't managed it over at least three months of testing. Again, that's where opening a dialogue with the community would come in handy. Ask us questions, narrow down exactly how people who have experienced the glitch played through the game and what random technical issues they encountered. Or better yet, stop dancing around trying to replicate the glitch and provide a workaround instead of a fix. It's gotta be quicker and easier than three months of failed testing.

Dear Mods. Wouldnt it be possible to post such a statement (the one Si Absolution got from the Support) in a separate (closed) thread and updating the thread maybe two times a month. This would makes it much better :-)

they've replies numerous times to all sorts of different threads, however this thread and any similar threads remain silent in spite of responses on threads right above or below the "troublemakers" its pathetic that THQ announced they were closing and all servers were being in the process of being shut down and I accidently bought the wrong dlc and contacted them and they not only let me keep the one I bought but gave me a free code to get the one I wanted to buy. they should've asked for something in return, ubisoft team members say to themselves, but thq was respectable and put their consumers before their bottom line. ubisoft you are a pathetic waste of oxygen. you will never fix this bug I realize that now. these troublemakers can put up with it you say to yourselves but I really wish "these troublemakers" would vow to never accept another ubisoft game in any form, meaning free new used nothing. if you don't currently own it DONT ACCEPT IT. we wont do enough to really damage their bottom line, which is all they care about, but maybe just maybe they'll listen. I have friends who have bronze in 80% of the missions WHO HAVE THIS TROPHY and I plated EVERY MISSION 3 TIMES NOW and no trophy. mission b and c are 100% complete nothing less than 100% on all awards in those categories and the extra mile is still locked. i said some things i absolutely meant but worded them to see if ubisoft will even give me a warning in this thread so maybe they will see the "troublemakers" are still not satisfied with their bull answer "were aware of the problem"(but were not gonna fix it)

    Hey guys.
I heard that devteam already working on new game (I guess The Crew 2) and few developers stay to support current working build.
So, they working to adding new cars in game with next patch and they hasn't much time to fix glitch that QA can reproduce.
If this happens, it will remain forever. You can't do anything with it.

    devolopers refuse to reply

I messaged ivory tower and ubisoft today on facebook and twitter and as the title suggests they almost immediately saw the messages. oh maybe its an automated viewing you might think.... nope I messaged them with my extra account as someone satisfied with ubisoft and asking for any upcoming crew dlc releases or any plans for re releases.. and well I got replies on twitter 32 minutes later and facebook 19 minutes later. the community manager has replied to a bunch of threads since their last reply to this thread. I do believe they have washed their hands with this problem. like Obama they think ignoring an issue means it doesn't exist anymore. and to be clear im saying certain things to see if I will get a warning or banned just to see if they even monitor this thread anymore. I do think those of us affected by this are screwed. this wont get fixed and ubisoift and ivory tower don't care about it anymore. if they ever did. so I will post my thoughts daily if there is no response to this thread on any sort of update. and your bull s*** rubber stamp response wont fly anymore this has been going on far to long and its garbage. what happened to the days when this would happen and be handled badly and someone loses their job. SOMEONE NEEDS TO LOSE THEIR JOB AND WE NEED SOMEONE WHO WILL GIVE A STRAIGHTFORWARD ANSWER. either you are gonna do something or your not. IGNORING IT WONT MAKE THE PROBLEM DISAPPEAR I HOPE EVERYONE THIS PROBLEM HAS AFFECTED DOES THE SAME AS ME. DONT BUY ANOTHER UBISOFT GAME. IF YOU CAN GET ONE FOR FREE DONT. the only thing I think will get their attention is money when they start losing it I wonder if they'll put 2 and 2 together

Saw that The Crew had an update today (version 1.13). I looked online but was unable to find what the update actually contained so against my better judgement I plugged the disc back in and did a few more story missions with the hope that maybe the issue had been fixed. I was not surprised that the trophy still did not pop. However I was surprised how horrible the frame refresh rate is when playing story missions now, its almost unplayable, it looks the same as when you are comparing a 60Hz to a 240Hz TV side by side, it just seems very "jumpy". The sad part is if this is an issue for many people and I were to post this in a separate forum I am pretty sure the developers would actually try to fix the issue and at least respond in the thread. I miss the days where Ubisoft would release a good game and then subsequent patches worked to improve on the game. Now it seems like they release a good game, then pull all the support, milk out as many DLC and add-on purchases they can and continue to release updates that don't fix the game but just create more and more issues to the point where their players no longer want to play anymore (maybe they do this on purpose so they can shut down the servers soon and no longer have to pay to keep them running so when The Crew 2 comes out they can focus on doing the same thing there?).

I, like Si Absolution, have also wondered about the possibility of deleting my game save entirely and starting over to see if the trophy would pop. My concern with this is that it took me a very long time to get to the point where I am, and I would hate to lose all of that to have to start over. And then the possibility of going through all that time and effort again just to have the trophy still glitch is one that I am fearing the most.

In comparison to other games and developers I have seen much more customer support for game glitches that are far less significant than this one. The fact that its been well over 8 months now (WOW!) since this thread was started, and longer since the issue has been known, it is absolutely insane that some kind of a fix has not been released yet. With a supportive community of people going into detail explaining the problems and posting pictures you would think that the developers would be more than grateful to have all this extra information available to them to help come up with a solution. Statistically, out of the thousands of people that play this game, if only a certain percentage actually played the game enough to get to the point where they were affected by this glitch then the chances of someone reproducing the issue on purpose are probably very slim. There should be more effort put forward to collect more detailed information from the players who actually HAVE produced the glitch to try and find some kind of common denominator (many have been theorized in this thread). Furthermore, I don't claim to have any kind of vast knowledge when it comes to programming, but if those players who were affected by the glitch could get a copy of their game saves to the developers would that in any way help them out? I know for one I would have no problem going through the trouble of getting them my game save if it could be of any help to them in fixing the issue (I have spent 160+ hours on the game, countless hours reading forum threads about this issue, of course I would give a little bit more time on top of that to help out if I could). The Crew is a great game and has a fan base that wants to see it continue to be a great game. The developers are just being really ignorant about not fixing these types of issues, communicating with us, and releasing patches that continue to make the game worse. In the end it is just disappointing that they are causing so much frustration in some of their most dedicated players over an issue that should have been fixed months ago.

I just don't understand how this is such a difficult fix. Call the function that checks for mission progress as the game is booting up. Or just unlock the achievement for everyone over a certain percentage completion...this isn't rocket science guys.

I understand from reading post that the Devs are unable to reproduce this bug, but I don't see how that prevents a solution. Could they not simply add some code upon login that checks the mission status and proceed from there?

    For instance:
    Log in, code runs:
Step 1: Check "The Extra Mile": If complete (100%), abort code. If not complete (99% or lower) then run step 2.
Step 2: Check Mission A Medal Status: If Mission =/= Platinum: update icon to the current medal status (maybe we're seeing Platinum icons where there shouldn't be). If Mission = Platinum proceed to step 3.
Step 3: repeat Step 2 for next mission. Once all missions checked proceed to step 4.
Step 4. If all Missions = Platinum: update 'The Extra Mile" to complete. Ding Trophy Awarded. End Code.

I really don't see why something like this wouldn't work. If it won't can someone tell me why?
