have you tried getting platinum on a few other races yet?

I'm having nearly the same issue. Gold at 97%, Platinum at 98%. In the Missions Awards picture that shows I'm at 50% on one of them, I've run both missions twice to Platinum level.

Also, I've run several missions solo to platinum level after this. In all different regions, and still no luck in getting this to achievement to unlock.

So it's been more than 2 weeks since this statement. Is there any new information? Any kind of update? Or should this have read, "the devs are aware of the issue and will work on it once the expansion pack is done and out the door"?

So nearly 2 more months? That would make it over 6 months without a fix for a known issue, right? Well you just lost my purchase of not only The Wild Run, but The Division, AC Syndicate, Rainbow 6 Siege, and Ghost Recon Wildlands.

Just as an update, Forza 6 had an issue with an achievement not unlocking. It took them 2 weeks to verify it was a bug/glitch, identify where the issue was, solve the issue, test a patch, and release that patch. All while dealing with fixing MP connection problems some players were having not to mention Turn 10 is of course working on car packs and new tracks to release during that time.

That's how you address an issue with a game you release. Not ignore that there's a problem. Not burying your head in the sand. And not by pushing a fix back more than 2 months so you can release more paid content.

Same here on PS4, problem since June (!!!). Hope they will fix it with wild run.
