Trials Frontier Blitz Season 2 - Extended
A new season is upon us, Frontier riders! Season 5 of PvP for Trials Frontier runs from 11am GMT on May 15th until 11am GMT on May 25th.
Season 5 of Trials Frontier PvP is a return to the slightly more hectic BLITZ-style, so hold onto your handlebars, because it’s about to start. This Friday marks the beginning of Blitz 2, and we’re going with slightly modified rules that the first Blitz came with.
There were some issues that players had with the short showdown time in Blitz, so we’re making a change on the length.
Showdowns for this Blitz are twice as long, from 10 minutes up to 20. One free showdown, and 3 tickets for additional races, but ticket regen is at 3 minutes. The new season only lasts 1 week, so we’re all waiting to see who makes it to LEGEND.
Edit: Due to Bunker connection issues present on Friday/Saturday, we are extending the end of this season from Friday, May 22nd until Monday, May 25th.

Hope there is a new goal now that the donkey is out. Unless something drastic has changed, this is definitely a week I'll be skipping. Your Blitz changes will help but in the end there is almost zero chip generation going on in Blitz and that's what I am there for. For folks that don't have donkeys upgraded they are after gems and chips to get donuts, and these short showdowns won't be giving them. Add that there is no real reward for actually making Legends, and that the game doesn't record whether you made legends for achievements, etc..... legends really has no "meaning" now that I have already proven I can do it a few times. Really... I have more productive things to do.

Some people have already unlocked the Donkey (not me ), maybe the rewards will be different ?

Blitz isn't fun. It's stressful and lame. I thought you guys would have realized that after last time. Oh well. The next week is gonna be hell for me, but I will do it. I am too much of a completionist not to.
Oh and btw, your OP says this is season 5....I believe it is technically season 6. Opening season, Winter Season, Blitz Season, Spring Season, Donkey Season, now Blitz2 Season.

I like the increase in length, but I think this may be the lowest number of legends at the end of the season just because of the time commitment to play a few showdowns a day plus 1/4 of the length of a normal season. For many people it takes the full four weeks of 3 showdowns a day to make legends, so that is 7x4x3= 84 showdowns to make it. With only 7 days, that's 12 showdowns per day and if played one at a time without using golden tickets it's going to take FOUR HOURS a day of competition where you need full focus because there's only a little bit of time to win.
I've been a legend many times, but I can guarantee that this season will not be one of them. Good luck to those who are trying!

To be honest, I would rather they add chips as season rewards in PVP. That includes achieving Legends. That way, there will actually be more incentive to play PVP. Right now, I just don't feel like playing matches just to grind out chips, be it blitz or non-blitz (though blitz would be a nice change of pace for me just to have some fun for a few matches. I like blitz-style matches 'cause they resemble tournament-style matches more than regular matches).
