I have lost about 100 points myself when winning all 4 heats. If you get kicked out of a game or get an error while searching, you lose points your next match. Extremely unfair. And I hope you can add a minimum of maybe 5 matches to be placed on the leaderboards. Many play one match and get rated way higher than they should.
I can attest to the getting kicked out while searching with the "Failed to Migrate host error", I lost 270 point to this.Originally Posted by cocio89 Go to original post

Am like a posting machine tonight...might have to go lye down, think I feel a headache coming on...
Hold on lets back track a little bit here….If you win overall, make sure you don’t lose in any heat(s) or fault (ever) and you won’t lose points. Easy to understand sure, but makes no sense what so ever. You should never lose points if you win the overall event, regardless of fault count or opposition skill level. Am I missing something….or can someone enlighten me and explain how a mechanic of going backwards when moving forward is the correct way to go about things……. Surely just give a score of zero.
For the original problem about sessions getting terminated, I posted this in another thread. But I might just as well post it here too to make it more visible.
I suspect this has something to do with the bandwidth detection and throttling of the game.
One way to detect this, is to run a continuous ping to a known address in the background for example "ping -t www.google.com", unless there's some QOS functionality enabled by your router or ISP which gives priority to pings, you should see the pings starting to increase, probably rising to 1 or 2 seconds or even higher before the disconnect happens. Alternatively you could see that a lot of packets are getting lost. If the bandwidth throttling works as it should, you should only see a moderate increase in the ping times and almost no additional packet loss.
If you are able to perform this test it would be very useful information for us.But even if you aren't it would be good to know your internet speed, both upload and download. Additional useful information is the type of the connection Cable, DSL or something else, the name of your ISP and the name, model and firmware version of your modem.
Some additional information:
You should be able to run the ping on a pc that's connected to the same network, even if the game is running on a console.
If this is the problem, it might be fixable by doing traffic shaping using either the router or for example this http://info.iet.unipi.it/~luigi/dummynet/. The dummynet setup can be tricky though if you are running on a console.
still getting session terminated notice before a game starts, happens way too often, also happens when people leave the game. And it causes points loss, more people leave games now than before so the new points system wasn't a cure for people leaving in the middle of a game. Why not fix the points system instead of adding new content that will just mess up anyway? Doesn't seem MP is a big deal to the makers.
