You have a point about it going up against the usual annual releases but people were saying the same thing last year and that it would come out around now sometime.Originally Posted by MIKEnBC Go to original post
Before the delay was announced last year someone from the dev team had leaked info to Gamereactor that the game would be delayed and that date was been too optimistic.

No doubt the development of such a grand scope of a game has had it's bumps in the road. I don't doubt that. I still believe The Division was never coming out this fall/winter regardless of the progress or not. This fall/winter is different than most because of Halo and Tomb Raider releases. Throw in your annual CoD and BF games and there just wasn't any room for The Division. That is fine by me though. Means more time for Devs to get it right and hopefully give us a finished game. If I buy one more broken and obviously unfinished game from UBI I will never buy another retail copy again. I will intentionally seek out used copies.Originally Posted by H0EY Go to original post
Well are you really surprised. We have not seen new in-game footage since last E3, the gameplay that was shown at the different game-conventions was also material from E3 2014 and they still run alpha tests and gametests inhouse, so not even material they want to run as a closed beta. So for me it was no surprise, that release 2015 is hard to master and now we have the confirmation. It was also confirmed in another article, that they want to wait on the feedback from alpha and beta testers to really polish the game, so IMO this whole thing is exactly what they should to. Finish the game, run alpha and beta tests, polish the game and balance it as far as possible and then release it to the public.
It was clear that with a beta run of multiple month (Elder Scrolls Online hat 1 year beta) that it won't be possible to release it this year, so IMO right move and even though it will get heated discussions and maybe the usual ****-storm, I think it is a good decision - finish the game and make it worth the wait.
They are really backing themselves into a corner with this move. If they don't deliver a AAA SUPER game after all the delays and "downgrade" claims, UBI will be doing themselves in. No one will trust UBI as an action game developer and the only people who will buy anything from UBI will be kids i.e. Rayman, Rabbids, Just dance. I really hope this game does well, not because I like UBI, but because the game (initially) looked fun.
Yeah it's probably an accumulation of all of these, next spring will probably start getting packed with releases now.Originally Posted by MIKEnBC Go to original post
Anybody that has been following the game and had half a brain already figured out it wasn't coming till 2016.
We believe in you guys, please keep us updated as much as you can on the new developments. ThanksOriginally Posted by Ubi_Antoine Go to original post
Hey!
First i want to admit I was one of those who didnt think that the game would be "delayed" again. And I was wrong. However, hopefully without coming off as a ubi fanboy(this game is prob the only ubi game im gonna play, more of a Massive fanboy perhaps) i think after reading the other comments in other threads i fell this might have been a good idea.
There are the heavy competition with other releases around holiday season, and by delaying until after holiday it might lessen that competition(i dont know if that is true actually.) Also we dont know how long the game actually has been delayed in regard to actual date, the only thing we knew from before was Q4 and now it is Q1. so it could be as little as a few days although i might set my expectation to march.
I've waited a while and will be able to wait a while longer for this game and they have more time to polish the game wich will only make it better.
This time next year is probably a good time frame.Originally Posted by ScoutViking Go to original post
