I will admit openly that I am pretty disappointed by this. I was really banking on 2015 because the devs were very confident about getting it out in 2015, even if it was a December release. Now, I completely understand the competition during that time of year, but I was remaining optimistic.
Despite my disappointment I am very supportive of the devs and this game, I just feel a little disillusioned at the moment.

    More disappointment from Ubisoft

When I heard that Ubisoft has delayed the release of the division was not surprised but disappointed. Given this is been in the works for three years now and all the resources working on this game. It has been nothing but disappointment after disappointment.

I pre-ordered an xbox one and paid a premium for the console on the basis that the division was coming soon.

Here we are today three years later and can get a console for half the price and the division still says coming soon.

I have lost all faith in Ubisoft and tell you i will not be purchasing anymore. They have lost me as customer. I know there are others out there that feel the same.

I suggest you also let your voices be heard and boycott Ubisoft for there never ending disappointments.

Im sure their shareholders would love to hear what consumers have to say.

I'm completely fine with the delay. I want massive to release the game when the're comfortable with releasing it. In a way I actually wouldn't mind if the game came out in October with bugs and what not because I actually have a tolerance for it (unless if the game is barley functional) and I wouldn't mind waiting it out for the patches. But on the flip side I would rather play the game when it's actually finished. The main reason why I would ever boycott ubisoft is because of them releasing half baked barley functional games. This delay however is the step in the right direction in my honest opinion.

Massive, you guys have been pretty tight with the community up to this point and if you are ever to read this, I recommend having an open beta test somewhere towards the end of summer have one small portion of the map open to players with an outpost or two and a dark zone or two. Let your fans help you Massive.

I was slightly expecting a delay, but since they had been sticking to 2015 up until this point, I wasn't sure. I'm totally fine with this though. The more development time, the better the game will be and this will allow them to create what they ultimately intended. I would hate for the game to be dumbed down or stripped of ideas/features just to stick to a release date. All this makes me glad Ubisoft has a number of other games to release, otherwise The Division could have been a half-baked release at this point.

Disappointing. I understand they need to delay to give us the best game possible, but to be honest I have lost a bit of confidence in the end product. I will probably wait to see the finished game before deciding to buy. Similar to future soldier, the devs delayed and also was not very transparent with the community and did also not give a lot of info. At the end I also did not buy that game until well after release, after playing I was very great full for not buying it at full price and ended up trading it back straight away. Unfortunately that game could not live up to the initial hype and expectation created by the devs. Let's hope history does not repeat itself.

    we wait

    1. The more time they work on it, the better it will most likely be. I am so jazzed for this game, and I'm glad they're taking their time in development to get it right.
    2. Hopefully this shows that AAA studios are willing to take longer on a game, and not let marketing determine the product release time-frame. I hope other large studios and development houses take note, and that the industry starts moving in this direction, after a few years of releasing broken games.

THANK YOU Ubisoft for the delay. You're doing it right, and I for one am very happy.
we r waiting. we have pain. who to give? pc keyboard has-been-gen scrubs? playstation grubs? annecy is news from god glad you brought on the pro's. campaigners with blowpops need not apply...call of doodoo lamers will cry....bring it. we wait. praying for cross platform finally quiet that sillyness. 2016 ok maybe put enuff servers to support the game dont run like mice like future soldier. ubi you make plenty give a little get a liitle this time around.

Most AAA quality games take 3+ years to develop. We saw The Division early because it was the first time they had the opportunity to show off the Snowdrop engine.

I think that both of you need to realize that delays are a good thing. It gives the developers more time to work on and polish the game. Many Ubisoft games could do with entire year delays.

No one here cares how much time a AAA takes to make. The fact of the matter is UBI revealed The Division TOO SOON, probably in a desperate attempt to beat Bungie to the punch. No one would care about the delay if it hadn't been announced so early. Also, taking extra time to "polish" the game doesn't mean anything. GRFS still had tons of problems after a huge delay and rewrite.
