    Game stopped saving

    Hi All,

    Thanks for reading.

I think something has gone wrong in the game, 80% complete, and I am now stuck, Groundhog Day like, with the game not saving even when I try to force one in a Safe House (buy / sell exit)

I backed-up my saves and started a new game, which appeared to go OK.

I think things went wrong during a Bomb Defusing mission in the Valley of Death (I can't find the actual name...EDIT Border Observation Post).

I was finding this one very difficult !

The last thing I did was to make a run for the last bomb. I reached it, near-death, and hit E.
There was a fanfare and "Mission complete" message. Phew, I thought, I'll take that.
(I did find it odd because all the Royal Army who were there disappeared.)

I then carried on. Beat one of the two outstanding Outposts only to come to grief later during a journey - Royal Army or animals, I can't recall.
But, when the games reloaded at was back at the previous place (Border Observation Post) but now there was a simple hostage / karma mission.
And I noticed that my progress had not been saved - I had lost the previously defeated Outpost gain.
Now every time I try to save (buy/sell/exit), there is no Golden Path save symbol. And when I next start the game I am back at the hostage/karma mission mentioned previous.

I don't think there's a simple answer (unless Ubi have a save game editor).
I can't imagine I'll start again so I think it will be forever 80% complete...

    Thanks for any ideas!

Have you tried verifying your Uplay Game Files for FC4? https://support.ubi.com/en-US/FAQ/60...0000000ee85CAA
If so, have you made sure all of your drivers are up-to-date?

If you've done the steps above, please contact our Ubisoft Support for further assistance. Thank you. http://support.ubi.com
