Featured Builder for May - illobear

It’s been a bit, but we’re happy to be back to having a Featured Builder on Trials Fusion. Today’s Featured Builder is a bit different, as they aren’t just being featured on the platform that they use, well, he actually might be, because he seems to play on almost every platform that Trials Fusion is available on.

Having created nearly 80 tracks through all of the difficulty levels (I counted 79 on the 2 platforms I currently have access to), including making “Easy” versions of some of his tracks on request, is none other than illobear.

illobear was a bit difficult to get in touch with, which probably means he was busy working on more amazing content for everyone to enjoy. I did get a hold with him eventually, and while he seems to be a man of few words, he was willing to take the time to send a few about his favorite tracks, his build style, and some advice for other builders.

    Name: Tilo Naumann
    Platform: X1, PS4 and PC
    First Trials Game: Trials HD

What track that you have built is your favorite?
My favorite track from me is frost lab… many time for this one.

What about a track by another community member?
I really like the track RTC Fire Mechanic from maccorenzy!

How would you describe your building philosophy or style?
Just in 2 words.. total brainstorm

What makes a custom track really stand out for you?
I like when people keep the theme and I can feel the track like it is a deeply atmospheric movie.

What advice do you have for people new to custom track creation?
The new feature to fly around with the camera in replay is great for newcomers to see how people build. Focus on the driving line and start with the driving line first then decorate around it. Also, i recommend the Riders of Rustlands objects for obstacles. They are still the best objects, to me, for the driving line.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to the questions, illobear!

A selection of 20 illobear tracks are available, right now, in the Featured Feed on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Take a few minutes, hours, whichever, to play through them and we’re sure you will see why we have selected illobear to be May’s Featured Builder.

Players on Xbox 360 have a selection of 6 tracks as well. They are some EXTREME tracks, but in my opinion they are pretty good extreme tracks.

Don’t forget to check forum PMs, Twitter DMs and console messages. You just might have a message letting you know that you are the next Featured Builder for Trials Fusion.

Congratulations to illobear (round of applause?), now I must excuse myself as there are a ton of tracks to play.

Interesting. I notice you guys uploaded all of his tracks under his actual name instead of the fusion community account? do you guys always ask people before hand to see if they have accounts on other platforms to upload their tracks under?

Also, its funny how you say he plays across all platforms yet 19/20 of the tracks today are from xbox one. :P #xboxoneproblems

Well deserved feature builder though, he has a lot of great tracks.

Congratulations illobear!!! Well deserved Featured Builder.
Already told you many times that i Love your tracks and showed it by putting in the time to get good runs on so many of them.
If there was ever an award for Trials Fusion Track Central MVP, it's between illobear & Confused Muscles for sure.

The track creators are the true Heroes of Trials.
Being a good player is nothing compared to being a good creator.
Without the creators we are nothing.
    They are our Gods.

I feel like his extremes are on par if not better than the in-game extremes

Firstly, congrats to illobear. One of the finest builders we have, and his output is prolific and always to a high standard.

Last week we got 2 new tracks. This week we get none. Taking the smeg. #Is Bone the only version producing decent tracks? Where are Vegas, Beefn', etc? I thought the idea of this was to sample tracks from other systems?

    True fact.

    Nice shots, Jongie.

#Xbox shafted again. Now I know how the 360 players feel. At least on Bone we have a lot of good builders who keep producing the goods. That is all.

Not exactly, that is the idea behind Uplay Recommended. Previous Featured Builder tracks were only available on the platform they originated from. We've been allowed to mix that up a bit, and now our Features can be cross-platform.

I can see your point of view, but you aren't "missing" anything from this month's feature as you already had most of the tracks on the console you play on, but there is one that you didn't.
