I feel like after every race I get a 30 second ad. WTF? let me pay to get rid of them, this seems to get worse and worse.

When I first started playing on Android, I was a non cash player and had a lot of ads. The only other person at the time that I knew personally who played the game was playing on iOS and he said he never got ads. I was actually mentioning how some of the newer ads had even extended to lasting 45 seconds and how annoying it was especially since it was the same exact ads over and over. As I was complaining, it was apparent he had no idea what I was talking about and that's when I made the realization that he wasn't dealing with ads at all.

Around the time they implemented the TV in the Village Saloon that allows you to watch ads to earn coins and gems, I noticed that I no longer got random ads. I also purchased a few packs of gems around that time, so this may have also affected ads being served to my account. I haven't noticed any random ads since then, only when I choose to watch them to earn coins/gems.

Well, I'm on Android and didnt see ads for months unless I watch em for tickets and diamonds in saloon. I did use IAP also, maybe that could effect it.

Yeah I have never spent a penny and I still get ads. I get 1 ad for every 2 races, but slot machine doesn't count. Meh, it's not a big deal really. If you watch TV you see ads, if you watch Youtube you see ads, it's just part of life.

I've bought some gems in my early days of trials and i don't have ads at the end of races like it used to before.

If this is connected it's really weird RL did not mentionned it, people would buy gems just to remove ads for sure

I stopped watching TV, and one of the reasons was adverts. Same reason I run adblock online and only turn it off for people I support. It's not a part of everyone's life. :P

I suppose we all have our ways of getting around it. When I watch TV I usually am watching sports so it's easy to just channel surf at the commercials. During Trials, I just put the phone down and do something else for a minute. I just can't really blame RL for having ads in a game that's free (if you want it to be!)

Never giving in to cheap ad-barrage tactics. But yeah, now that the ads are running freely on IOS, its a pain... especially in a showdown. I am now convinced that with the age of the game what it is, that they have switched to getting most of their income from ads. . . and that their grinding events like Frostpocalpse is how they force us to generate income for them....

I still haven't gotten any ads in showdowns on Android, and I did 50 the other day. I think this may be a bug on iOS? I can't imagine they would intentionally put ads in the bunker, for OBVIOUS reasons.

The IOS ads are different than the Android ones. They have some ads where you have an option to close it out after 5 seconds and some popup boxes (no video) that you can close immediately. At least gone are are the days of seeing the same Game of War ad over and over again back to back.

yeap, just like xitooner said above - revenue from players viewing ads is now much higher than revenue from IAPs...
