Over 300 dlc.. I'll wait to see how the others do. It seems very much like a placeholder solution until they figure it out. I went through this with RS1. Reinstalled a good 10 plus times. Let me know fellahs.

It's possible they tweaked the update file and it required a reinstall to take effect. Solidwhitemike was the first to post that they told him to do a reinstall. Before that it was the old shoulder shrug and "go check the forums. We'll see. I really, really, really hope that's the case.

Were you able to keep your save file with your progress or did you have to delete that as well?
If I had as much dlc as you, I'd start it before I went to work and let it do it's thing. That way it would most likely be ready when I got home.

Oh yeah, just for completeness's sake, I restarted my ps4 after deletion and before I reinstalled.

Did you have to delete your game save file or were you able to save that. It would be a bummer to lose all my progress on songs and have to re unlock all the songs and such.

No, that would've been an absolute last resort.

Please keep us informed if this continues to work for you. If it does then I will have to give it a go when I have some time.

If there was a one button download all your DLC licences then I would no problem.. but going over every piece of DLC and comparing it to my receipts to make sure I got it.. is a nightmare. Besides if it is a few files that have been updated in the last few months.. why not tell us which?

There is. Got to your library select RS2014, click download, it asks you if you want to download all your add-ons at the same time. Select yes.

The only thing I had to do afterward was tell the update file to install (it was already downloaded) in notifications. Most of the dlc was already installed, so once I told the update to install, I was playing in 2-3 minutes.

so, support replied and the standard response.
    1. try another usb port
    2. unplug all other accessories
    3. try a different guitar
    4. adjust guitar knob settings
    5. disconnect/reconnect
I've done all that with no benefit.
Support also said that if I plug the cable into my pc and Rocksmith USB Guitar Adapter shows up as a recording device, my cable is probably good. My cable shows up correctly on the PC.
So, given that i'm on an xbox and not a pc playing RS2014, my options to delete are not the same. It is interesting that uninstalling/reinstalling fixes the issue on the pc version, so i really don't want to spend another $30 to buy another cable when it appears my cable (treated with kid gloves, of course) is good.

I also can play RS1 effectively.

I've also recalibrated, etc within the game, waited to plug the cable in until the game fully loads and i select Learn A song mode. Any suggestions from the forum?

    Thanks.

To be honest, we were talking about this problem on PS4 only. I hadn't heard of it being an issue on Xbox, but if you've tried all of that then maybe a reinstall might help you too. Unfortunately, I couldn't tell you how because I've never owned one.

It's a very good idea to have a spare cable. If for nothing else, then for troubleshooting purposes. I was so certain it was the game because I had 2 guitars and 2 cables, and it never went away.
