I think it would be a nice change if we were allowed to blacklist let's say 3 bikes. It takes a lot of coins and time to upgrade all your bikes, and even once fully decked out some bikes are simply not fun to ride - "Speed" bikes I'm looking at you. That way peopel could also block out their least upgraded bikes, making for a hopefully more balanced PVP (at least for the lower level people, once who might not have everything maxed out where the bike upgrades might actually play a significant part in winning the showdown).
Opinions?
I agree with your statement. I would like to ban the Armadillo from every Showdown. That bike is a piece of crap and I hate using it. I don't mind speed bikes in Showdowns, but balance bikes are simply the worst.
I'm not sure how I feel about it. In one sense your are rewarding the folks who took the time to upgrade the bikes but in another sense you have an unbalanced showdown. If anything I feel the reward for players should be allowing them to get quicker LB times. I'd actually like to see some kinks thrown into the showdowns (i.e. Reversed controls, upside down, etc.). This way even advanced players who have mastered tracks are still kept on their toes.
I wouldn't blacklist any bike... armadillo (I don't like it either) or not, it's the same for both parties, especially if it's a low level bike - everyone has upgraded those to the max.
I agree with this sentiment. Some of the bikes suck, but your opponent has to use them as well.Originally Posted by Fevves Go to original post
That being said, if I was allowed to blacklist one of them, it's the Riptide without a doubt. I HATE that bike with a passion. I'll take the 'dillo or the Jackal any day of the week.
It's funny how I would ban the Riptide.
When I have to face strong opponents (alexbyrne79, Cassecou09, ecc.) I always get Tier 3 bikes which I hasn't maxed out yet. This time I have 2 Riptide and 1 Berserker against Cassecou and I hate that __________________________________________________ ______________ this much.
I dont mind it, it can be any bike as long as the other person have to go through the same suffering as me.
I did only notice once the power of upgraded bikes when the dude did a timesaver with his upgraded Beserker at start of the track while mine couldnt do it for the life of me.
Which is why in my other profile I haven't even built two of the bikes due to knowing how long it takes to upgrading. Eventually I'll build it out one at a time to maximize my chances of not getting stomped on by the same bike that's been heavily upgraded.
