So far the update came a few days after the patch notes. On PC its already out. So i really miss it right now!

Why do people care about achievements again? It's part of every game I could care less about.

Some care more than others. For me Fusion was an easy completion achievements wise.
For me personally, achievements are a fun way to add to my gaming experience.
I don't have a huge gamerscore, im just about to hit 100K now in my 9th year on XBL.
There are many gamers who are proud of their Trials achievement completions and some of them are not able to get the DLC achievements.
I speak out on their behalf, and for the principle that we payed for the content so we should get it all.

People like competing for high scores, been a pretty major part of gaming since gaming was invented. Given that trials is heavily focused on competing for leaderboard position and highscores, it shouldnt be surprising that alot of the players also care about their gamerscore.

After all im sure you have gone back and improved medals/times on tracks you have already beaten in trials. Sure at the end of the day its a meaningless accomplishment, but it adds a sense of progression to something you already enjoy doing and gives you a reason to keep doing it.

And frankly, life itself is just meaningless progression designed to give us a sense of purpose before we assume our ultimate role as fertilizer. So really, xbox live achievements are an allegory for humanity's constant struggle to rationalize its existence.

And yes im surprised as anyone else that a post about gamerscore ended on a note about the philosophy of human existence, but here we are.

when I start the game I didn't have any download of uplay tracks and I don't understand why.

online multiplayer is not working for me.just sits there saying downloading UGC tracks.

also notifications are still broke and friends tracks still doesnt work.

notifications are still broken for me too. online mode is looking good so far. like the hidden names while searching for other players. made 3 matches, no new tracks. have to go deeper to say more about the update.

Edit: Oh, and is there new music in online mode?
