The screenshots are in and we received a great selection of images for Replay Challenge 4. Redlynx Concept Artist Juhani Jokinen had his work cut out for him but he finally settled on this image from @ismo_420 on twitter.



Of course picking the winner was just the beginning. After making his selection Juhani took ismo’s already epic image and turned it up a notch. Juhani’s paintover evokes just the right amount of speed, danger & excitement to really feel at home in the world of Trials Fusion. To top things off he’s even baked a little easter egg into this basket of awesome:



And finally, lets hear a few words from the artist himself:

‘’I chose ismo_420’s screenshot since I thought it had a nice composition going on in addition to the contrast between the red of the environment and the green of the rider’s outfit. And because Ville did ice themed stuff last time I thought it would be only logical for me to do fire. Besides, a burning forest is a cool challenge to paint.

I started by fixing the values of the image and introduced some foreground trees to bring more depth to the image. From there it was a matter of refining the lighting and adding detail until I thought it looked cool. To finish up the image I naturally had to add a couple of ominous penguins, see if you can spot them’’
