Hey guys, zero here!
I got a question that i've been wondering about in a while now, and i wanted to give this place a go.
I really want to make something move like this in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGJPm5aDMyo (at 0:40).
When i try doing anything like this, it will just slow my rider, and i will loose all my speed. (same with the part at 0:50).
how do you do something like this? is there any tutorials?
thanks in advance, i hope i get any answers when after my sleep!
EDIT: yes, i know how to to the animations, you dont need to tell me that![]()
I assume you are trying to do this with an Object Positioning Event setup. You should only use this for animations where you don't drive simultaneously on the moving object.(if you use an OPE and the objects moves at a descent rate you are likely to sink into the object)
If you want something moving and driving on the object while it moves you need to use physics joints for the moving objects. Since you know how to do animations I assume you have the basic knowledge needed for it. If not you can check this video from Evo, wich is basically the same as in fusion
From the example you gave, I assume the moving part is just one big glue group that moves with the help of a physics joint slider
I prefer to use dummy object and connect it to the ramp using physics joint. Settting the physics joint to Point-to-Point. Then turn on physics option for the ramp.
This way you can use Object Positioning Event on the dummy object and it drags the ramp with it and no problems with wheels sinking into the ramp.
