I think placing them in the Slot Machine is a good alternative, with a 3-4 week delay. I agree that throwing these tracks in the trash can would be a waste.

We got quite negative feedback from the community when we put the Halloween tracks on the Loot Wheel right after the event last time, so we are trying to avoid that mistake this time around.
Thank you for asking; we were pretty hard on you last time.

I think its a case of "if you dont/cant grind for these tracks during Frostpocalypse, then you will have to grind/pay for them on your own time later". What upset everyone the most last time was that letting them get everything off the Loot Wheel "for free" just made a mockery of all the weeks of grinding the rest of us did.

16 tracks is a LOT. bunnyhops suggestion sounds good to me; make them play all the different facets of the game (slots, loot wheel, bunker/ChipShop, maybe buy some for gems/coins too in the Shop). Its good for the game to spread it around, and sets up a nice precedent that one way or another, you are going to have to "earn" those tracks. As for actual cost or possibly delaying their release... both are good methods of encouraging people to play the Event now instead of waiting.

I think I have to go against the grain here a bit. I understand the frustration of people who grind hard to get things and then others get the same content "for free." However, the BIGGEST problem with this game and maybe free to pay model generally are the artificial time constraints on content that affects players' ability to be competitive. For example, the delay in time on bike upgrades has got to be one of the most frustrating things I encountered in this game, I already have to spend time to earn that coins to get there, why make me wait another 2 weeks especially when it's just another cash grab for 25 diamonds to skip it.

The people who don't grind are penalized because they won't be in the top 30% and they won't get the skins. I would say that you should NEVER give those skins out in any other way to the people who didn't earn them from the event. Those things are special, a reward for the grind, don't affect leaderboards or anything that actually matters, and it's plenty good enough for me. I fully intend to get all the tracks from grinding materials in this event even though I hate it, because I really want those tracks NOW. I don't think others that aren't willing to spend that time should be punished more than having to wait for the event to end and missing out on some skins.

I am not going to argue in favor of F2P, for sure. But this isnt an "artificial time constraint" here; its a personal choice to play the event or not. You CHOOSE to play the event, you get the content sooner... you CHOOSE to not play, you are agreeing to accepting RLs alternative cost (additional delays or whatever) for the tracks after the event. It was your choice that affected your ability to be competitive. That choice makes all the difference, and so it has little to do with F2P.

I think we all know this game doesnt give stuff for free, F2P or otherwise. If you knew you could get the tracks handed to you for significantly less cost/effort by simply waiting for the event to be over.... most people would not play the event. I know I would not..... that cant be good from RL's perspective. There needs to be a cost somehow to balance it out... delays are just one way to "pay". Missing out on skins is another... but a couple of skins is really not very costly, IMO; skins are 100% optional.

I see your point as well, but I guess my perspective is that tracks are too game essential to be part of these timed events. Personally I thought the best way in recent history that they released a new track was the terracotta warrior mission story arc. Regardless I'm going to grind it out for the last four tracks over the next 12 days or so and hope for the best!
