{ Spoiler } Shangrala fire bird

Hi everyone! All my progress is finished except the badazz bird in Shangrala. I watched U Tube video and saw it killed, however after 5 hours of frustration putting it down and 3 of the times having the Tiger go in the mouth, it keeps spitting out Tiger gets up flys around and kills me again. Can anybody give me a clue what I'm missing?

The things I find helpful are:
    1. watching the youtube videos that show it being done.
    2. Using the slow time feature on the bow to get an arrow in the mouth of bigbird
    3. If I dont get er done in 5 minutes it prolly wont happen for me as the longer I fight the more demons spawn and the scorchers come making life hell.
    4. I immediately try to shoot the bird and then IF it spreads wings RUN immediately, and I dont try shooting the demons unless passing one tha thas just formed, and then I knife it.
    5. Change the difficulty level to low. This doesn't really have much effect in my experience but it might help.
    6. If I haven't got him in 25 minutes or so of trying I quit and come back. This has worked as I have got him in 10 or 15 minutes after returning to try again, its like the computer wont let me win as nothing else about my gameplay really changes much.
    7. Often the first mouth shot wont bring the bird down, that is normal.

I have defeated the Rakshasa aboutt a half dozen times and its always similiar.
Most of the time I can easlily get him down 2 times and with the tiger jumping in his mouth after hes down (also hitting him again in the mouth, while down speeds up his destruction as you can see his skin get more crackly).
Make sure your sensitivity on the sighting is set to get the hits easily FOR YOU and your system.

:To win the rakshasa has to go down 3 times, with the tiger going into his mouth on the first 2 times. The third time he is shot down you win with a cutscene.

Thanks Andy, it was nice to have someone reply after my plea for help being up for this long. I just quit for a break, but your information makes sense and seems very constructive. Later tonight I'll give it another try and let you know when I finally get completed.
Thanks again for your reply, Can I change color of aiming dot from green to black?

Yeah, Andy's advice is solid. I just want to stress how important it was for me to realize that every time you miss shooting the bird in the mouth, new demons spawn. You have to get him every time so you don't have demons bearing down on you while you're trying to shoot the bird the next time. I think the only exception is the first time the bird appears. You cannot avoid the demons spawning the first time. The tiger will help you fight those, but don't drop the ball on shooting the bird every other time he opens his mouth. I think you might still have to kill a couple demons yourself at the beginning even though the tiger helps you, but pay attention because you don't want to miss the first opportunity the bird opens his mouth. You'll just get more demons and even the tiger can't kill them all. Then you miss the next time the bird opens his mouth and guess what, more demons! Eventually they overrun you! It will take practice, but you'll get there. I went through the same thing. Tried for 3 hours and had to stop out of frustration. Next day I watched a tutorial and still had to practice quite a bit, but eventually I got him.
