I haven't played the game since patch 1.04 or 1.05 I think due to being unable to make a manual save. Pretty much the only way I can save the game is by completing a story mission or doing a Outpost Master mission. Taking over an outpost, discovering locations, crafting upgrades or choosing skills doesn't save the gameso I can be playing for 2-3 hours doing these things, but if I die I lose all that progress.
I installed the most recent patches and just got done with the story mission after traversing the Himalayas hoping that the problem would be cleared up. Still can't manual save, only have the options to Save and Quit or Quit to Desktop, and Save and Quit does not save the game, it just exits to the title screen without saving progress. I had a ticket open, but it's still unresolved after several months, even after sending in my save file to be looked at. Very frustrating to play with this issue.

I've browsed all the threads I could find on the issue, and none have given any fix for my issue of not being able to manually save the game. The video you posted doesn't help as the issue remains even after backing up my saves, deleting them and then re-adding them. I appreciate the response though!![]()

do you have the steam or u play only version of the game ?
have you verified your game files ?
first you wanna make sure you set the u play client to run as ADMINISTRATOR..
If you have the U play only Version of the game you can also verify your game files with U play

also it could be your u play client did not update properly
you can go to Uplay here and re download the u play client and re install it to get the most up to date version

have you tried that yet ?
if you uninstall the u play client it will remove all your game files too so dont uninstall the u play client if you don't have to .. or do not want to lose all your game files and be forced to re download em all
so try just re installing the u play client on top of your existing install .. it should update properly that way too
