Easiest tracks for platinum? | Forums

I wonder what are the best/easiest tracks for getting platinum, since I really want the Platinum Knight but I've only got 46 of 75. Can someone help?

I suggest starting with the tier 2 tracks, because it's pretty easy to get most of them without the need of a high level mantis. Tier 3 can get complicated before you are able to really grasp the bikes and tracks. Tier 1 is also kind of simple, I was able to get most of them with a fully upgraded armadillo back in the day :P but you really need to upgrade your tango to get platinums. My last suggestion, would be to race ghosts, this makes it super simple to see how other people get their platinum times, and it will allow you to find short cuts you may not have seen before

Honestly, most tracks have fairly easy Plats, so its not something I usually think about; beyond a certain point nobody can give you advice because its based on your skill level and upgrades. Its far easier to talk about the hardest plats than to list the top 75 (75!) easiest. You have to pick ones you think you can beat and work on them using ghosts, etc like dtdiamond suggested.

Just look at the maps you've earned gold on, then look at the time required for a platinum. If you have enough friends, find the slowest one on that track to have gotten platinum, then race their ghost. Just keep hitting retry until you get it. In some cases you may discover that your bike isn't upgraded enough, but in many cases you'll learn by example how to navigate the track well enough for platinum.

I just earned my 75th platinum over the weekend and finally got the platinum knight outfit.

I would say there are only about 10 or so tracks in the game (Island Tracks EXCLUDED) that are actually hard to plat. I say this in comparison to getting plats in the console games (HD, Evo, Fusion), which are usually much more strict. I understand it's easy for me to say this since my bikes are basically maxed, but you also have to realize this game is different in that it's quite a long grind, you get better slowly over time. You will get those plats eventually though, don't worry.

The platinium Knight outfit gets easier to obtain with every update, because there are a lot more tracks to play
I had to plat about 75% of the tracks (before island and bunker), now it need more likely 50% platted after the winter tracks
