I assume this is more to adjust the double coin suit and gift box gold relaxation, as coins seems to flow in masse at the moment. Still feels fairly expensive

It's still ridiculously expensive, that's for sure, but cheaper in comparison to before the update, where a "Castle of Gems", for example, costs €99,99-.

They have changed IAP prices before, as currency prices shift.
Maybe they have stopped changing the prices, but are now shifting the gems/tickets/etc you get instead. For instance, "Castle of Gems" in US dollars gives 5800 gems for $99.99. . . . but yours gives 5000 gems. throne of Coins in US gives 5 mill for $99.99... but you get 4.9 million.
