It's basically the same as with the yeti skins or pumpkins. In addition to any you collect while driving through the track, you can win additional kindling from the loot wheel. If you have a perfect run and spin successfully, you might end up getting 200 total (or more, depending on what amount it puts on the wheel for you).

I had joined the game a couple of months ago, I don't know how it was with pumpkins. But that's my point: one gets minimum 100 kindlings from the loot wheel guaranteed (giving you have the Enforcer suite and make it golden or platinum). I was lucky to get 1000 once. And that has no dependence on one's accuracy. To change quick and guaranteed 100+ kindlings from the wheel for slow and painful 100 or less kindlings from accurate ride seems an inefficient strategy. That's without joy taken into account.

I did not want to just leave this in the main post because this was such a great moment.
Remember the rng of this game, if you just speed through the track and lose all 100 kindling you could still not get the loot wheel prize to make up for it. Also, this is more of an interesting challenge for players to test how good your use of leaning, gas, and checkpoint resets are.

Well, that makes sence.

I enjoy fast times, and self-tortures to bring home not 99 but 100 kindlings are not for me. Ask me a year after ))
