so are the new tracks ever going to impact the global leaderboard? if not im skipping this garbage. i cant stomach another halloween style grindfest.
Agh! I've got 8 showdowns running at the moment (which I need to win to get the rank 1 reward), but the app keeps crashing on start up. No manner of flushing the cache or restarting is making a difference.![]()
That would be great, and very possible, considering the missions are currently out of 4. I hope he fades out for the remainder of the week after completing the fourth kindling mission. Guess we'll see when someone finishes his current set of missions.Originally Posted by xitooner Go to original post
He does go away after the first 4 tracks are acquired.Originally Posted by FlatCircle Go to original post
They must impact it already, I'm rank 36 on the global LB now and I was around 70 before I got two new tracks.Originally Posted by sriskus Go to original post
Edit:
Just improved a time on a new track and moved to 34 on global LB.
I set some decent times on the 4 new tracks and jumped to 18 on global leaderboards. Looks like it added around 3,180,000 to my overall score.Originally Posted by weee99 Go to original post
I guess that explains why you keep letting me win at the end of our ping-pong, thanks! 3 more cave tracks left for me and two more of the first four new tracks. I hope it's correct that we only have to try and earn 4 tracks a week, there's still yeti stuff and two other mystery tasks we might have to handle.Originally Posted by d0pesheet Go to original post
I was making a push to get those last couple of tracks and I had 50 showdowns running for a couple days. It was tough to keep everything straight, but when in doubt I usually let people win in case they had let me win earlier and I had forgotten.Originally Posted by weee99 Go to original post
So I saw on the official update thread people were discussing the kindling and how it works as far as gathering/losing it while racing the tracks. Does anybody know for sure what the optimal technique is? I've been relying mostly on the loot wheel since I'm a bit confused on how it works.
Edit
OK, I just played another round of levels and it does seem to me like it's all about taking it easy and avoid landing hard or bouncing. You can reset checkpoints to try over and over to keep as much as possible. You can also fly through a checkpoint while airborne and then reset to that checkpoint to regain any sticks that were lost upon landing.
Dark Machine was crazy, sticks flying everywhere.
I had trouble with the second swing, there was too many sticks on it and it failed to launch me many times...Originally Posted by d0pesheet Go to original post![]()
you need to let the first swing throw you on the left, then ride to the second swing, so not many sticks will go on to the second swing with youOriginally Posted by flooodi Go to original post![]()
