Hi, i'm a new player in Might & Magic. i started about a week, week-and-a-half ago. The game is interesting, can be frustrating at times the way that there is power in uniques that are usually of higher rarities, but that can happen sometimes. i'm a vet of MTG, YuGiOh, i still play Hearthstone, play Infinity Wars.....card games are a big thing for me, especially the advent of DTCGs.
With all this, though, once i found these forums....i am seeing more and more that makes it so i want to play the game less. Preferential region treatment due to how the Chinese server/balance things were presented? Forum issues apparently leading to blanket bans? Publishing server updates without actually providing client updates? Codes that, again, are preferential based on only a certain part of the world? A massive lack of communication from developers? All of this is adding up to a very horrifying picture.
So, i have to ask, being a new player....what is there that would make me want to STAY in the game?

Welcome to MMDoC Jaymie-chan.
The community is certainly a great bond to the game, they're helpful, and creative. There's some great streamers and content creators writing about the game too.
The game itself is good fun and challenging.
There was to my knowledge no blanket bans handed out recently. So no need to worry there.
We do provide codes for special events, or given out to our streamers to give away in their streams or on their youtube channels. These are not usually localised to a particular region.
I've been helped by Wooder recently to bring our Tuesday Swiss to the US timezone so that our players there don't miss out because I usually have an early bedtime
I hope to see you stick around and to contribute to the community and our discussions, and I perhaps we will meet each other in game on the battlefield!
Once again, welcome to MMDoC Jaymie

Correct me if i am wrong, but isn't having a code that exists for 3 hours or less inherently region-based, given it requires being around, and awake, at the time of activity? Thereby alienating at least half of the world, and factoring in things like work or jobs, closer to 3/4 of the possible userbase? Sure, it might not be TECHNICALLY region-based, but functionally it is exactly that.Originally Posted by BB_Momi Go to original post
1. How would a streamer get in contact? Is there a special email address/secret forum?Originally Posted by BB_Momi Go to original post
2. What do you mean with that? I'm from the EU and don't know what problem you are specifically talking about.
If you like the game you are going to stay, simple as that. TBH i don't understand the frustration coming from higher rarity cards, it's a system that works in probably every living TCG and as a MTG vet you should be familiar with it.Originally Posted by jaymiechan Go to original post

RE: stream codes, i'll use an example. i play a few online card games. One, Infinity Wars, does streaming about every week, usually with contests and such, sure. When they do stream codes, though? They tend to last upwards of a week, minimum of 3 days, allowing most of their playerbase, given it is a worldwide game as well, the chance to claim the code as their own. When they did a chance to earn a gold-border cards? It was only supposed to stay for a couple of weeks, but they extended it to a month and a half because of issues and people saying thay coulldn't meet the requirements. And i know they have a TINY staff.
You can send me a message here on the forum and we can see how we can helpOriginally Posted by Innocenz Go to original post
Our Swiss tournaments run at 17:30 CEST, which is too early for the US players, so with the help of Wooder we're running the Tuesday Swiss in the US timezone - Hope that clears it up a little more![]()
