Look, I'm a huge fan of the editor, it's the only reason why I got Farcry 4. However, it's really pissing me off because whenever I'm in the editor, I get 16 fps. However, when I go to the actually game and or test the map, I get between 120 - 160 fps. And yes, I tried to lower the quality, but it was still between 10-18 fps. Is there any way I can fix it?
this is most likely due to the editor taxing your system more then just the regular game
i would say its normal as the editor possibly needs more CPU power as well as system ram to load all of the useable assets
of course you should also try to make sure you do a full file verification and run both the game as well as steam (if you have the steam version ) as well as U play under Run as Administrator
also try to close any background applications that you may have auto loading with Windows when you have the game and especially the Editor open
I tried doing that, I closed all programs I had open and I gave permission to all of them, still the same problem. And it also showed that I got 80 fps during the editor but I still felt like it was 15-20 fps. This also happened to me on Farcry 4, it happened because I alt-tabed out of it and when it was not full screen, the fps was at 150-160 but it felt like 15-20, but I fixed Farcry 4 by switching back to fullscreen. And the editor was using %15-%20 of my CPU and Ram.Originally Posted by WID992007 Go to original post
