Hello everyone! I have a question about the track "Way of the Machine" ( Which I hate with my entire heart, reached the fault limit at the last checkpoint today ;_; ): I have a few friends who have played this track, and when I see their ghosts, they kind of fly up at the first checkpoint. My question is: Is this like a timesaver? Or just simply a glitch? Or is it something else? Let me know, because I am pretty curious if this is an easier route to finish the track.
* Faceplam * That I didn't think about that.. Cheers, dude.Originally Posted by superhdx Go to original post
Like HD said, watch replays and study them. When you are able to understand why they do what they do at certain obstacles you should have a better grasp on handling the bike. It really comes down to keepin the back tire grounded (acceleration) and maintaining the right posture as you move from one cp to the next. Practice each checkpoint until you can pass it consistently, then practice stringing a series of obstacles (like 1st to 3rd) and work your way up and you should be able to pass it in no time.
Now, when you get to the point where you are able to get 10-20f every run, try to play the ninja version of WotM, so that way when you come back to the extreme version, you should find it easy enough to speedrun the track. Hope im makin sense. Good luck. If you need anymore tips, feel free to ask. I have like 7 years of experience of Trials and in top 10 globally and i still dont consider myself fully polished, because what i love about Trials is that no matter who you are, there is still always room for improvement. Sorry for the long post, im sure you get the point anyway.
Agreed with everything except for playing the ninja track lol, if you are at a state where you 10-20 fault the extreme, you are nowhere near the point where you can pass the ninja version; therefore playing it wont help at improving at the extreme.Originally Posted by Retribution Go to original post
Just study replays and keep practicing the track till you can do every cp kind of consistent and you will get it at some point; we have all been there![]()
Firstly, the ghost's do fly off - there is something weird going on there, so it is not just you.
More importantly, it sounds like you need a Trials guru. Someone to walk you through the nasty tricks. Give you the building blocks to awesome. In short, you need the Professor.
If you have not heard of the Professor, I am here to profess my love for the training of Professor FatShady at the University of Trials. He can take the most stupid obstacle and break it down to methods that mere mortals can actually clear. He has a you tube channel with a detailed WOTM tutorial... and a bunch of other stuff ...

Season 1 of the Uni of Trials is below - even if it looks "easy"in the first few lessons, there are little things in there that help a lot.

I was at what sounds like a similar level to you about 3 years ago when I gave up in disgust at Trials. I then found out about Fat Shady, and he helped me a massive amount in getting through the extremes. I am still far from awesome (I can't zero fault most of the extreme's), but I enjoy Trials so much more because I know exactly what I am trying to do and the shapes I need to make on the bike to achieve certain results. I have crap throttle control and limited ability, but slow and steady wins the mental battle with the extremes, and the Professor will help you get there.
Trust in the Professor![]()
Youre right tho, i went overboard with the 10-20 faults statement, more like average less than 5f per run and that's when you know you can start speedrunning. I almost always do my extreme speedruns after i play the ninja version. It does make a difference for me, but every rider is different so...Originally Posted by IBlubbiI Go to original post
