Excellent work Stampede-8. I wanted to check my opponents rankings in showdowns and with this file I can now make decisions. On the other hand I can see my leaderboard progress and improve those tracks that I am withdrawn, without checking them all the time on the phone.
I will also comment on the accuracy (IOS). I got matched with a player, that set good times. I read the list on the phone and didnt find him (perhaps misread it). I searched him on your file and he was No 200, which is 50 numbers ahead from me. So I decided to focus on the other two showdowns. It turned out to be a good decision. I would not beat him with 200 try's.
Whoa, this is how it should have been done by RL - teh calc is pretty nifty and effort you put there is muchly appreciated man! Accuracy? Well this is pretty accurate IMO.
Now, the leaderboards are truly free of those cheaters.
Hats off Stampede-8! I think we all owe you.![]()
Thanks everybody for positive feedbacks
Yes, it's free of cheaters and very accurate (with the scoring system I made).
It's really nice to use it as a guide for improving track times. I improved times on most of tracks and jumped from 7th to 4th position![]()
Looks great stampede! But I'd like it if you could animate a spinning wheel with a clicker so that Everytime I login to the forum I can see if I've gained or lost ground on the leaderboard. Maybe include a short sound bite if I went up or down as well? Also, have my phone dispense an ounce of mid to top shelf scotch when I set a PR. Use the age poll thread to figure out which users should get Hi-C or Sunny Delight instead. Get on that please!!
Thanks again for your hard work.
I'm afraid I cannot hack into Ubi's forum and display that info in such mannerOriginally Posted by iwillnotwin257 Go to original post![]()
I added this to Guides and Usefull Topics -thread to pic it up easily!
How often you will run update on this spreadsheet?
The delay between updates will be 3 days max. Last update was today.Originally Posted by flooodi Go to original post
I think that this method has one significant error.
Not be read correctly - minimum unattainable time, which is set to 75% of current world records (ie if record is 10 seconds, that time will be set to 7.5 seconds).
Let me explain. If you look, the global rating of change for each player only in a big way, or at least constant.
With this interpretation of the minimum of time, say Kartank set a new record on the road cave and he is now 7.5 seconds, it turns out that Kartank never get 1,000,000 points, because according to your method is now the minimum unattainable time 75% of the 7.5 seconds - 5.625 seconds. And it turns out that all the points obtained from the other players must also change based on the new time.
Now about 75%. If we take the rate that you can get a maximum of 1000000 points on the track and add all the tracks that we get the maximum a player can get 134000000. Cassecou06 now has 115,075,73, this is about 86% of the maximum possible points.
Applying these figures and taking into account that all Cassecou06 set maximum results based on this we can say that there is the maximum possible time is constant and is about 86% of current world records.
For example, the Cave - a record 9.766 * 0.86 = 8.44 seconds (I think the developers took the round numbers) then the maximum possible time for the Cave is 8.0 seconds.
P.S. Sorry for my english.
You are right, and before I mentioned (somewhere in the thread) that I just didn't have enough time yet to make those unattainable times constant. This affects comparing scores between updates of 2 excel files when somebody set new WRs, but don't affect ranking in one file itself.Originally Posted by sergsavin Go to original post
I'll do the right method as soon as I get more free time.
I would be glad if community contribute by suggesting unattainable time for each track - that's a lot of work for one person.
You might be surprised, but that's possible!Originally Posted by iwillnotwin257 Go to original post
Browsers like Google Chrome provide very flexible API for add-ins, so it's possible to create an Add-in, which takes cookies from the Ubi forum (there is a player identifier in them), where the add-in will communicate with a custom-made back-end server with global leaderboard, and show a layer on top of the web-page.
Now I have to figure out how to turn electrons into alcohol and dispense them from the phone...
