    FIXED: Like others, FC4 is no longer loading

    Like many others, I seem to have issues when attempting to start FC4. It's worked fine in the past, but the following issues began cropping up some time last week.

    When clic/king the "Play" button in UPlay, a screen message briefly pops up noting that my save game files are syncing with the UPlay servers. Then . . . nothing.

    To clear up any questions:
    • I've uninstalled and re-installed both FC4 and UPlay twice now, hoping to clear up whatever issues are causing FC4 from loading;
    • Only FC4 freezes. All other UPlay games load just fine;
    • I've manually deleted all UPlay and FC4 related folders from my computer;
    • No software is blocking the sending or receiving of files from UPlay servers; anti-virus has been disabled when attempting to determine the recent cause of FC4 not loading;
    • Putting UPlay into Offline mode does allow FC4 to execute, though it's proceeded with a black screen and the program freezing;
    • Yes, my computer specs do meet and surpass the hardware requirements to run this game;
    • I do not have any apps. loaded on start that would block/restrict FC4, or UPlay, from loading

    Thoughts?

    UPDATE:4/9/2015

    It appears the culprit blocking FC4 from running was the Heat Map feature running in the Razer Synapse. Software the came with my mouse; which I only use to turn the mouse's lights off. Unclear as to when this feature turned on, but FC4 will not execute if this particular Razer Synapse feature is enabled.

    have your verified your game files ?

    To verify your files if you bought the game thru Steam

    go to your Steam games library

    right clik on far cry 4

    select properties

    select local files

    select verify Integrity of game cache

    it takes a few min to do but its faster the redownloading your entire game , if its only a few files that were corrupt or installed incorrectly .... this in many cases will fix your problems getting the game to start

    If you have the U play only Version of the game you can also verify your game files with U play

    if you have the game via u play only here are instructions how to verify your game files thru their client

    Yes, I have verified the files both through Steam and UPlay. No issues needed addressing.

    I'm re-installing both UPlay and FC4 at this time. While I've not installed or modified any software that might have blocked FC4 from running properly, I'll again go through the steps of doing a Selective Startup in hopes of narrowing down where FC4 is getting hung up.

    Same problem - not played for a week or so but when I tried to launch it today it wouldn't work. Just opens up Uplay and goes no further.

    I noticed that Uplay updated just beforehand, so maybe that caused the issue?

    Very annoying...

    Same problem on the PS4, an update file installed this morning and now it won't connect to Uplay. Watch_Dogs connects okay and I can log into the website.

    I think it is the Far Cry update?
