The reason why I don't really play ninja's is because of ridiculous long checkpoints (and me being just bad/timing out). But timing out on a ninja is different than rage-quitting the track because the creater was too lazy (or whatever reason) to put a checkpoint between obstacles. And don't get me wrong, an obstacle can be long, if you need the momentum for certain parts. But if you can just take a break during the obstacle it is not a well designed one and there should have been a checkpoint.
And the CP spamming is ridiculous. It takes 1minute to make logic so you can skip checkpoints to practice them. I think RL should delete those tracks instantly from Track Central. As I tought one the rules for TC was not spamming? If everyone did that, TC would be a mess.
Wow thanks guys for all your responses I didn't think I would come back a few hours later and see such a good thread/conversation. It's also good not to see people arguing. So I can pass eye of the storm NJ with 7 faults which imo is pretty good a year ago when the game was released I couldn't even get passed the first cp on inferno 4. I thought to myself this is impossible lol today I have platinum on every track(except the new DLC which hasn't bin released on 360 yet
. ) today I passed ninja factory FINALLY by techiland with 263 faults which 50 or so of the faults were me smashing the bailout button raging lol. I keep getting stuck on the 4th cp of the inferno 4 NJ.
So should I not put a number in the title of my track just use the tag ninja difficulty?
Also I agree that people shouldn't flood the feed with single cps it's really annoying![]()
Omg want to print these words into stone for everyone to read.Originally Posted by DJ_2wItchY Go to original post
But seriously, I'm so tired of lack of checkpoints in ninja tracks. Whenever a track has a lack of CP, its almost always a thumbs down from me. And I often rage quit when I have to redo obstacles I've already passed.
I love that TC split the ninjas from the regular feed, it sorts out most of the tracks but not all.
My biggest gripes about ninja uploads atm:
- People not tagging ninja tracks as ninja so they dont get in the ninja section
- Single CP upload spam
- Hard difficulty ninja , what?
About the tracks themself:
- Long repeated checkpoints that are unneeded are stupid and not a way to make it harder, if it doesnt need the momentum add some breathing room to respawn.
- Front/backwheel are more a skillgame imo, and should always be ninja tagged if anything, just to keep them out of the regular extreme section.
- Sometimes the direction to go is not really clearly shown, adding unneeded faults, especially on backward parts.
Tbh once we get most people to at least know the difference between a extreme and a ninja, quality of TC will improve.
As far as the level system goes, everyone has different skills/opinions/experiences, so it's bound to have some differences per person.
I assume you mean the ninja's? Wich you can't expect them to magically drop checkpoints after triggering it, they where limited with that because it's an extreme track in the first place.Originally Posted by simmzy1507 Go to original post
And I don't think we are talking about the casual mistake of "maybe I should have put a checkpoint here" but people who think a ninja obstacle is to make it hard by not placing checkpoints. Ultimatly it is a bad designed obstacle if you need to put checkpoints far apart to ramp up difficulty. And don't get me wrong, I probably sin on this rule in regular difficulty tracks too once in a while, but my reasoning is mostly because the theme makes it hard to place a checkpoint, not to make the obstacle hard. Nobody is perfect.
