SOLVED: I am just gonna post the last comment here from me.
OKAY!!! I found out how. so i researched quite a bit and found out how. you uninstall Uplay. Find the last files. (there should be some left in C:\Program Files (32-bit versions of Windows) or C:\Program Files (x86) (64-bit versions of Windows)) then just find the folder called Ubisoft and delete it. and re-install the whole thing after deleting it. (Some systems has to reset the HOSTS files. try and find a microsoft article with steps.) Link to download of Uplayinstaller: http://static3.cdn.ubi.com/orbit/lau...yInstaller.exe
That is what solved it for me. write it down if you ever have the same problem.
So today. i decided that i wanted to play with one of my friends. I tried to launch but it wouldn't launch.naturally i tried to verify the stuff. nothing was missing. i tried restarting my computer and that didn't help. i tried to launch the directx installer from the games folder. didn't help at all.
so now i'm just sitting here hoping somebody know what is happening. btw there is no warning thingy or stuff like that
. Help is appreciated and sorry for bad english. i'm from Denmark

if your running any of the following........... shut them off before launching far cry 4
the game has issues with the following software on some configurations

best bet................ exit out of all background applications before starting the game see it it will launch
also make sure you have a PC that meets or exceeds the minimum system requirements..again dual core CPU"s are not supported nor are NON directX 11 video cards or a 32 bit operating system you must have a 64 bit operating system windows 7 Sp1 64 bit or windows 8 / 8.1 64 bit

easy to fixOriginally Posted by Sjafin3 Go to original post
simply delete the FC4.dll file and do a file verification it will DL and replace the file with a correct version
To verify your files if you bought the game thru Steam
go to your Steam games library
right clik on far cry 4
select properties
select local files
select verify Integrity of game cache
it takes a few min to do but its faster the redownloading your entire game , if its only a few files that were corrupt or installed incorrectly .... this in many cases will fix your problems getting the game to start
If you have the U play only Version of the game you can also verify your game files with U play
if you have the game via u play only here are instructions how to verify your game files thru their client

Doesn't work. if it helps. i used Dependency Walker to scan it and there was a red exclamation point at the FC64.dll and i assumed (of course) that there was an error since it reads as following ''could not find the section that owns the Delay Import Directory'' i guess that's an error? but deleting and verifieng it didn't do it... and i have tried both FC64.dll and FarCry4.dll just to be sure. didn't work. but still appreciate that you are trying to help meOriginally Posted by WID992007 Go to original postbut do you have any other ideas?
dunno sir i have the game as well as my windows all on the same 500 gig hard drive
your specs are fine better then mine actually
and i have had zero problems getting the game to run
my rig is
Asus P5B motherboard ..bios version 1604
Intel Q6600 core 2 quad @ stock speed 2.4 Ghz
8 gig of DDR 2 800
Windows 7 64 bit
Western Digital Black edition 500 gig hard disk (64 meg cache - 7200 rpm)
Asus Strix GTX 960 using Nvidia driver version 347.52
(had an asus R9270X as well as a sapphire HD7750 in before )
Creative Labs Soundblaster live 24 bit PCI sound card
one thing that comes to mind is possibly trying to run the game as well uplay and steam (if you have the steam version )
by launching it as run as Administrator
the only other thing i can suggest to try loading the game after shutting down all background applications as noted on the ubi pages using MSconfig
and seeing it it will launch properly then
Background Applications
You may also encounter problems due to applications running in the background on your computer system. When playing Ubisoft games, please be sure to close all running background applications before starting your game. You can find the steps for this listed below.
- Open your start menu and look for Run (Win XP), Start search (Win Vista), or Search programs and files (Win 7)
- Delete anything on the Open line that you'll find there, and type in the word MSCONFIG and press the Enter key to bring up the system configuration utility
- Look down the list of startup items (not the tab labeled Startup), and choose Selective Startup (if it is not already selected) (If you don't see this, make sure you've clicked on General, near the top of the window)
- Once you've chosen Selective Startup, uncheck 'Load Startup Items'
- Once you're done here, click Apply & OK, and let it reboot your computer
- Once restarted, make sure that any application that affects your local network is disabled
Try running the game again. If the game loads and seems to be working, the problem is most likely related to one or more programs you have scheduled to load with Windows. You can then revert the settings back the way they were, and in a trial and error fashion, disable some programs using the startup tab (in the msconfig utility) to try to find the culprit.
*Keep in mind that this is a temporary solution and any changes can be reverted by returning to the MSCONFIG utility and re-selecting 'Normal Startup"
