Ha ha....agree, but you can't blame the "fanboy" of the "new arcade" franchise for defending it, all we want is the challenging, immersive, and intelligent gameplay that they started to get right and abandoned, causing Clint Hocking to resign. With newer technology in game mechanics post 2008, they could've done what others don't do instead of just cloning what others do. It's an easy buck for You Be Soft to make without breaking a sweat. Far Cry 2 continuation would be work, and the game would be too hard for low attention spans to fathom.

    Hey Guys,

It's been a while since I've logged into here, but I wanted to share my opinion on this.

Overall, I do agree, some aspects from Far Cry 2 would Definitely be welcomed with open arms on FC5, however, I'm just going to leave it at "Some"

See Weapon jamming is one I wouldn't mind seeing again, so long as it is nowhere near as Frequent as FC2, also, I agree with Viragox that It should be affected by environment. I'd also like to see a return in the way vehicles were repaired, I hate the whole "Battlefield" style repair system in FC3/4 but I suppose I can live with it.

I would like FC2 features to be incorporated into FC5, but it all needs to be Scaled back so it's not so excessive and annoying at times. The problem I have with Realism is that sometimes it isn't as fun or addictive, however FC2 Multiplayer was 10x better than FC3's.

Now I'll just point out that You guys that are arguing claim to be mature adults, then stop B!tching and act your age, we're talking about a game series here and you guys are ripping each other's intestines out with insults.

That's all I'm going to say.

This suggests to me that one approach for keeping your weapon(s) in good shape isn't by only using the rather simple method of visiting a gun store/safe house, but to have the ability to maintain the weapons while in the field by some means that you the player undertake. Perhaps coming across "parts" or "maintenance kits" and that a limited number would be part of your inventory, or just interact with, thus restoring your weapon/s to "new". I would suspect that for gaming purposes anything along these lines would be universal for the weapons being carried, but it would be nice if they were for specific weapon types - similar to the current FC3/4 ammo setup.

I actually would like to see a tweaked version of FC2 weapon degradation and gun jamming in the next game. But it would be good if water will make your weapon jam.

I proposed to have a weapon cleaning kit on KrAzY1337's feedback thread one year before FC4 came out. .

Another thing I would like to see is that silencers will break if you shoot a lot (Like MGS series). That would make the game more challenging and the silencers less OP.

I found the weapon jamming to be rather annoying, sure it may be semi realistic, but then I found myself screaming "Clean your gun you dumb ***!" I consider myself and avid shooter with trigger time on pistols, shotguns, AR15s and AKs and during the thousands of rounds I've sent through these guns I can count all the malfunctions I've ever had on my hands and most of those can be due to bad ammo or break in periods. So if they want to re-introduce jamming they HAVE to introduce weapon cleaning or people are just going to start pulling out their hair.
