When I went to use the level 2 hunting syringe I somehow thought that ubi had turned off all highlighting/tagging when you set the appropriate camera/weapons settings. Thought the "near silent" feature would be helpful in and around outposts since there would be no tagging - oops, not so!!Originally Posted by Far_Cry2_Fan Go to original post
So now wish I had never selected any skill points beyond Harvester in that line to avoid even having the ability to accidently craft hunting syringe due to the quirky syringe wheel setup.
Next run thru of the game will attempt to use just the in-game supplied med kits, and thus no syringes at all.
True, true. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikkg4NobV_wOriginally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post
LOL, suck at FC2? That's laughable, it's such an easy game. I was one of the few that actually WASN'T complaining about stealth being broken because I actually had the sense to know how to get around without being detected, even without boats and fast travel. I was putting up no scratch vids on the hardest modes of games like Far Cry 1 and FEAR before Far Cry 2 was even conceived of, and trust me, Far Cry 1 was a LOT harder to achieve stealth in and had a LOT longer range vision for AI. Go back and check the forum posts before ASSuming kiddie boy.Originally Posted by Far_Cry2_Fan Go to original post
Don't forget YOU yourself said you agreed on the method I suggested were jamming to be brought back, which allows for detecting and cleaning BEFORE jams happen. Which also means it would only happen during gunfights if you're a complete moron and don't check your weapons first, which anyone with any common sense would. So how's that any harder? I could easily say since you agreed to it that it's YOU that thinks the random jams made it too difficult. After all, I was just making a suggestion to try and quiet the whining, but no, you continue to piss and moan anyway.
Some here are even going off topic to try and make it look like FC2 is the only modern FC game worth playing, which always happens on these bring back FC2 features rant threads. A bunch of piss pots.
I just don't happen to like people that exaggerate and fabricate to serve themselves, and then go on to act like they've done something to improve gaming.
And again Weeks, check the videos I mentioned, they prove that syringes don't in fact have a permanent effect as you claim. Your argument is like your name, WEAK! LOL
Furthermore anyone that stoops to implying me childish for merely pointing out false claims is only proving what I've said about these FC2 lunies. They like to whine a lot and try and make themselves sound more relevant and mature, but they only prove what brats they are.
LOL, check your thread posts again for any reference to your claim regarding videos ...Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
Clearly there's a lack of maturity. So sad, since no false claim was made.
Oh BTW, another example of how the hunting syringe not only highlights, but tags, and it remains in effect after the duration boost has expired - all without any use of the camera or weapon.

Again truly sad you wish to come across as a complete ar$e on this subject, as shown.
Wow. Now you are just lashing out like a child.
The universal argument about FC2 was the outpost respawning made it "too difficult".
You claim it was easy, yet you appear to be championing the cheat syringes in FC3 and FC4. You want kiddie crap "specials powers" in your games? Fine. I hope you don't mind if I'd prefer the option to turn off the kiddie crap.
Have a nice, bitter life. We're done.
Proof that you don't even read what's been posted. I in fact have always maintained that I generally avoid syringes and have only used the Focus one once in my speedrun vid of Speak No Evil to facilitate a speedier outcome, and once with the Hunting Syringe on the 5th Night of the Yeti DLC. I think at 57 though and not having the best night vision, the latter is more than justifiable.Originally Posted by Far_Cry2_Fan Go to original post
Furthemore I already clarified that the only reason I even got involved in the syringe discussion is because I'd noticed it was being falsely represented. Which quite frankly given the person stating it was not surprising. And in FC4 you DO in fact have the option to turn it off if you'd stop whining long enough to notice. And how would I even KNOW it can be turned off unless I'd tried it, and why would I do that if I need it as you claim? Nothing you guys could say at this point would surprise me. You're the trolling twosome. You've been sipping the Kool-Aid of denial apparently.
And as far as the outpost respawning goes, the stealth I mentioned using WAS my way of dealing with it, vs whining. I'm not surprised you didn't have the sense to tie the two together though. It's just par for the course with whiners that think their opinion is so much smarter that they don't notice how friggin stupid they sound.
And sorry Weeks, still weak! Try again fanboy.
The false statement was this by some senior member on the 3rd: "the enemies and animals don't stay permanently highlighted. They highlight exactly to the duration you have unlocked in the skills menu."
As well as this on the 4th: "If you insist on using syringes in FC4 and don't want tagging, just turn off all HUD features and weapon tagging."
As demonstrated very clearly in these two videos, in addition to the experience by anyone who pops a hunting syringe in FC4 prior to, or instead of, using the camera and/or weapon regardless of those settings:

Would so much like to see actual visual reference that popping a hunting syringe doesn't tag those nearby, and lasts only for the duration of boost ...
