Graphics issue. Purple dots where tree's meet sky.

You can see in the album what I'm talking about. I noticed this today after I started playing Far Cry 4 and it got a bit darker. Purple textures on trees where they meet sky. It also does this to other vegetation like grass and brushes when I look at them at an angle where they are overlaying sky textures.

It's really annoying and I tried changing all settings and nothing seems to help.

    I'm running i5 2500K and ASUS R9 285 both at stock clocks.

I don't have any problems with other games, even Far Cry 3 never had graphical problems at all.

    try changing your AA settings

i had weird bluish things appearing with my Asus R 9 270 X if i set the AA and ambient occlusion settings too high

it went away once i selected SSBC for my ambient occlusion and SMAA for anti aliasing and enabled triple buffering and Vsync to sparse in advanced video settings

I tried it out but I just cannot make it go away no matter what I do. It's just where grass/trees meet sky

dunno then sorry what driver version are you using? when i had my AMD card in i was using the Catalyst Omega drivers version 14.12
    Omega (14.12) 12/9/2014

as they are the latest non beta driver out for AMD cards

i have since switched to a ASUS GTX 960 and pulled my amd card .

I'm also using Omega 14.12 atm. I don't like installing beta drivers, but AMD doesn't seem to release them as often as Nvidia does. Is there anywhere I can check when the next AMD drivers will be officially released? If it's not too far away I'd preffer waiting, if it is I guess I could try out beta drivers.

I just really don't understand why this would be happening and why drivers would fix it :\

If they were photographs, I'd call it bad CA - chromatic aberration.

Like WID992007, I've not seen reports like that.

Tried the 15.3 beta drivers, nothing changed.
Must be something with my setup then? Maybe the game doesn't like my computer :\

I had the same problem with the purple dots. fixed it now, it seems to happen if you run the game with custom ultra settings. they stopped after I switched to standard ultra setting.

    hope that's a help. (oh I have the R9 290)

Did you change anything else or just put settings to ultra? I tried putting it to ultra preset but they are still there. How exactly did you change it? Did you change anything in GamerProfile xml file?
