I play Trials mostly at work, and I have a PS4 on my desk. I try to play when I get home, but going from 360 - GS360 - PS4 - X1 makes me feel like I'm drunk when I try to play. Each of the controllers feel vastly different, and it will take a bit of time to get used to it.

I switched to X1 from 360 in December and immediately loved the new controller, though I play on the 360 a couple times a week to see what's new on 360's Track Central and play equally well on both platforms. I also use a 360 controller to play Evo Gold on the PC. One of my favorite things with the X1 controller is the triggers don't make clicking sounds when you push them all the way down... they're nice and soft. The vibration is better as well.

The X1 trigger sensitivity is exactly the reason why i don't attempt to 0f ninjas anymore. It does make speedrunning easier but it took away all the fun from feathering the throttle. God forbid somebody does a remake of a Grief's Mountain FX on Fusion. If there are any 3rd parties X1 controller with longer triggers (less sensitive) please point me in that direction.
