I am continually being asked whether I'll be updating the "Battle over Britain" campaign to allow the Spitfire to be focussed plane.

The answer is YES - when we get a Spitfire MkI!

I'm not satisfied with using the Mkvb in place of the MkI UNLESS I were to then update all of the German planes to match...Not very "Battle of Britain" though is it?

I might as well be creating a new campaign altogether.

If anyone else wants to do it then I have no problem with that but you might want to consider asking Poymando too - people seem to forget that this was a joint effort!

Poymando and I are currently talking about our next project.
I'm still waiting for ACES though...

In the mean while, how about a mid-1941~mid 1942 "Battle over the Channel" campaign?

    A wise decision.

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge,
ye shall be judged: and with what
measure ye mete, it shall be measured
    to you again.

I understand your reluctance to use the wrong plane for this wonderful campaign. The Mk Vb had 30+ percent more power than the Mk I, Ia and 1b.

But the airframe and armament were quite similar. The last variants of the Mk I even had three-bladed props. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch for someone to borrow the missions from the campaign folder and swap out the a/c for their OWN USE in single offline missions.

But (selfishly) I'd rather see the talent on this team used to build new campaigns around the expanded a/c inventory and maps in AEP. I believe Poymando has already offered a small pack of missions covering the week before D-Day. There were three years of 'rodeos,' 'rhubarbs' and escort missions before the invasion, and that should be rich raw material.

Thanks, again, for what you, Poymando and the rest of the team have already offered.
