[!!!] Native Dualshock 4 support creates major input delay

I do like the effort of making this a thing. But it's not fine when you get 0.5 second input delay compared to none when using an xinput emulator for the controller. This makes the game completely unplayable. A hotfix would be really nice or a way to disable the native support. My DS4 is connected via USB to my PC.

    Hello,

So, this feature shouldn't be in this update for this particular problem. We couldn't fix it on time so we removed it at the latest moment. But it looks like we didn't remove it properly. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We reduced the delay and we're now preparing an update exclusively for PC that will arrive in April to include proper support for DS4 controllers. We'd like to get your feedback when the update is out.

For the time being, my advice would be to play with a X360 pad.

    Cheers,

I only started playing with my DS4 controller yesterday (played through all the easy and medium players using my keyboard) but I noticed a tiny bit of input lag, too - definately not enough to mess up in easy or medium maps but it could be a problem with everything harder. So really looking forward to the real patch, I simply can't play with an Xbox controller.
Just a small bug: It still shows the Xbox button icons in the tutorial tracks.

But I found a way more serious problem:
I was playing the game for maybe 1h with my DS4 yesterday and the screen kept going black (6-7 times in total), the game sound was still running and the timer kept adding up but I had to tab out. Two times Windows also showed me a message about not having enough resources to keep Windows Aero running. Which is really weird, since my PC should be able to handle the game with ease, even on the highest settings (which it is on). I've already played the game for over 10 hours but I never had that problem before, so I guess, it has something to do with the DS4, which was connected via the USB cable.

Another, most likely unrelated, thing: I had to download an update yesterday (about 1gb), was that a "real" update or did my game/the uPlay launcher somehow mess up and delete the earlier patches?

    Hello,

There may be a work around. The version of the code that has been used for yesterday's version doesn't have the support for hot plug'n'play for DS4.

    Could you try please to:
    - unplug your pad
    - launch the game
    - connect
    - when you are on the main menu or ride menu, replug your controller

The game won't detect it, so it won't activate the code that produces the lag input.
Your xinput emulator will detect it and generate a xinput controller signal that the game may be able to pick up and that would work the same way it was working before the update.

I am not totally sure it would work but that's our best guess for a quick work around for now.

Meanwhile, we're working to put out the next update for PC that should help with the lag input and DS4 controller.

    Best Regards,

    Eno

I never experienced any lag because when my ds4 is connected the game doesnt launch, it doesnt respond. So i think this tread is related to this tread http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...7#post10662497
