    Maxed too early

So I just bought Far Cry 4 for the PS3 last week, and I absolutely love it. It is the first time I have ever played a far cry game before and it seems I have been missing out.

i do however have a huge complaint. I am only 39% complete and I have already finished all the crafting, and finished upgrading my homestead. Plus I only have 8 skills left to fill in my skill trees. I haven't even unlocked the Northern part of the map yet and I essentially have nothing left to earn except a few weapons. And I have no use for money, so there is no real reason to go out hunting or do side quests since the skins and the money are useless. This is vexing since I always like to do all the side stuff in my games, but now it's pointless because I won't get anything out of it. The economy and crafting systems were obviously made for the people who just zip through the story and never stop to smell the roses. I fear I will soon get bored and stop playing without anything to work towards.

i surely can't be the only person with this problem.

If you haven't unloked northern kyrat, then there is still crafting to do. You still have some "special" animals to hunt for the fashion guy. Also, i assume you must have done a lot of the side content if you have almost all the skills, however, you might have noticed that you need to do a couple of particular campaign missions to unlock some of the elephant skills. The northern part of the map is way more dangerous, so you will find that a large amount of the stuff you have unlocked is very much needed :-D

For real though, you've just got to find a balance between doing the side-quests, hunting, crafting, gathering collectibles and the campaign missions and this really becomes a quite easily avoidable "problem"...

I do the exact same as you, but there is always something to do and if you're out of side content in the southern part of Kyrat then do some of the campaign and unlock the Northern half then take a break from the campaign and carry on with the side stuff.
