you need to shoot the bird in the mouth 3 times i think

frag maniac posted a video on how to do it in another thread a while back

Make sure you also shoot it in the mouth once while it's ON the ground (just the 1st 2 times it's grounded). The game prompts you to do this, but some may miss the hint in the heat of the battle.

Failing to send the tiger in it's mouth and shoot it in the mouth while it's on the ground will result in failing to weaken it for that takedown, so it's as if you never dropped it.

That said, I know of at least one person that said he was doing all that and it stil lwasn't dying. He then verified the game files in Steam (same can be done with Uplay), and it worked fine.

Welcome to the digital download age people (frown).

What is it lately with all the Game Makers and the Boss-Fights when it comes to so called Shooter Games? FC3 had it, Crysis and almost all others except for Modern Warfare shooters.

Is this just Laziness in their part or do you guys really like it?

I say don't blame the boss fight or those whom script it, blame the people that give up before even noticing simple indicators like the minions spawning near you. Has no one ever heard of fight or flight being a key decision in a battle? Frankly I commend them for coding it this way. Add hell no, boss fights in general are not bad. Yes, there are a lot of ones that are bad because they're boring or tedious bullet sponge affairs, but this one doesn't fit either mold.

It seems no matter how many times you explain or show a method that is not boring or tedious, yet takes a bit of timing and alertness, people still complain as if it's holistically bad.

I'll tell you what's bad if you want a comparison. Games that have boss fights all the way through them, while giving the player mediocre skills and weapons. I'm talking about games like Demon Souls and Dark Souls 1 & 2. These are games where the devs admit they're being sadistic to the player in hopes you'll feel a big sense of accomplishment when you finally win a major battle. They seriously gimp your chances of beating the monsters they put you up against. It's literally a try and try and try again affair, there's little room for error, and battles drag on very long.

Trust me, you guys have it easy with this boss fight, you just don't know it.

The problem is more about the excessive length (respawn) of the boss fight and not really that it's hard. There are difficulty levels for a reason and sadistic is when Easy is more difficult than Master in FC3 ever was.

How is a sub 5 min battle excessive, because that's all it takes really once you know the traits of the AI I mentioned before.

It's neither long or hard, no pun intended. LOL

Hmmkay, then translate your solution in all other languages to reach more people out there? LOL

Seriously now it's not the point to have an easy way to victory ... the point and real solution is to design a battle without sadistic intent perhaps?!

Therein lies the problem and IMHO, you have hit the nail in the head... it does not take skills to beat the boss, all it takes is patience to learn the traits or scripted parts and I rather not have to waste time doing that.

Again, I understand people liking this and in a game like FC4 it goes with the territory, I thank UBI for not making part of the Campaign but a side quest.
