I've been getting random crashes since I started playing the game, makes getting through missions an impossibility without speed runs and raw luck.
I'm running an AMD FX-6100 with 32Gb Ram and an R9 290X. Ive reduced the graphics options, tried reinstalling and verified my files at least 4 times a day for the past week.
Is there even an intention to address this issue? My support ticket seems to have fallen on deaf ears.
I am completely with you on this JR. I am in exactly the same predicament.
I have tried several contacts with support and only one of them was responded to.
Someone called Peter had me reinstalling the game, updating drivers, verifying files etc.
In the end he said that he couldn't help me and that he was passing me on to a higher level of technical support, That was on the 10th Feb 2015......I have heard nothing from anyone since. I have tried to contact them by raising further support tickets (The most recent being Support Ticket 02104574), but basically they are ignoring me!
My problem is that the game loads, plays the opening sequences, but then I get the point whereby I am told via mobile phone to head to the first tower and within ten minutes the game will crash to a black screen. EVERY SINGLE TIME WITHOUT FAIL.
I have reduced in-game graphic options to the lowest possible and also several other different permutations and it makes absolutely no difference to the problem.
I have Windows 7 64 bit with 8MB of RAM AMD Radeon HD6770 graphics card.
Ubisoft have had ample opportunity to tell me that the problem lies with my computer and not the game, but they choose to ignore me/us
Far Cry 4 was a Christmas gift from my son and I have been trying to get a fix since early January. I intend to keep writing to customer support. Good money has been paid for this game...there is nothing left to lose. I suggest you do the same.
Good luck
I got zero response to a ticket from weeks ago too, regarding co-op. I really don't know how a company gets away with such shoddy product support. Someone, or all of us, really should write to trading standards because it's just tiring to see the same old generic advice handed out.
Games are getting dull because most time is spent just fixing them. We need a revolution! A gaming revolution! One that seeks nothing but perfection and brilliant storyteling....
Go on Ubi... give it a try... things are getting boooring

to a graphics card greater then a 5850 hardware wise .. not just version number wise
look at the Specs of your card listed here
http://pclinks.xtreemhost.com/video.htm
the 6770 only has
800 pixel and vertex shading units and would only be equal to a 5770
vs the minimum required card the AMD 5850 which has 1440 pixel and vertex shading units as well as much more memory bandwidth
just because the version number of your video card is greater does not = it is as fast as the min spec required video card
you need to upgrade your card

now why UBISOFT support has not pointed this out to you i do not know .. just telling you what most likely IS INDEED YOUR PROBLEM
you need to understand what is in your system and what it is capable of ..and yes your 6770 card would fall below the minimum specifications far cry 4 needs to run properly

As much as I don't want to read what you have written, I thank you for your advice.
One of my very first questions to Ubisoft Customer Support was to ask whether my PC was up to spec, and their response was to confirm that my computer specs ARE supported. Obviously, I needed to get that possibility out of the way.
However, following my experiences with Ubisoft I am more inclined to believe you than them.....the so called experts.
As I said in my previous post, they have had ample opportunity to tell me this.
