    Mouse Look Affects Vehicle Steering

This is driving me nuts... whenever you hear a sound and decide to glance of the road to the right or left, stupid Ajay jerks the wheel in the opposite direction, as if he just can't bear to head in a direction he's not looking. Of course this means you run off the road if you ever glance over your shoulder for more than a moment.

Please, does anyone know why this is, or at least how to stop it? I just want to drive a straight line and check my blind spots without wiping out every time.

Nope, I don't see this problem here - vehicle stays on track no matter which direction you look.

Different story when riding elephants indeed make the elephant go where you look - not a bad idea

No sir, the vehicle swerves in the opposite direction. If I look at something left, the vehicle goes into the ditch on the right. Since I'm already not looking where I'm going, I can't possibly compensate with steering.

    try this

    go in your game settings

open the gamepad settings (even if you have none plugged in )

check your auto drive settings in there .. disable em in there and see if it helps

it seemed to help on my system anyway when driving the ATV

made the steering more controllable on my keyboard

by setting auto drive to manual vs automatic (which was enabled by default settings)

Thanks so much, that must be it. The funny thing is I can't recreate the problem very easily, but I understand what's going on now. If you look straight ahead, Ajay follows your arrow keys, and if you turn to the side, he follows road. Essentially, if you are taking a shortcut and the nearest road is not in front of you, when you turn your head he gets screwed up and tries to get back to the road... at least that's the only explanation that makes sense. Makes sense when you're trying to shoot on the move, but quite confusing when you don't know what's going on.

I also never thought the gamepad settings mattered since I don't even have a gamepad!
