    valley of yeti's crashing

I'm having a problem that hopefully someone can help me with, right after your striped of your gear and you throw your hook up a cliff, there's a box...well like 2 steps past that box my stuff crashes. I'm not a noob, I've tried everything I can think of, changed settings, changed and checked drivers. Even tried walking backwards, nothing seems to keep it from crashing. Just says a program caused the program (FC4) to quit working. I tried booting up with minimal amount of stuff running and playing but nothings working.

You might have to do the verification several times - the whole process could be glitchy, also make sure you run Uplay or Steam as administrator.
Which version do you have, BTW?

I have Uplay. After about the tenth time I let it verify I just left on the downloads screen and came back a while later, it's trying to download something. It shows I have about 20mbs to download. It won't download though. I have had a "fun" time trying to get this thing to download from servers but it's uplay that I've had a problem with. Started with the release, couldn't pre-load, then when it did start it was slower than grandma in flip flops. Then it wouldn't load past the opening screen/movies. I had to add the game to my steam library to get it to start... offline that is. Guess it's back to calling support.

OK, if Uplay is what's bugged, you can try several things...

    A. First of all, you can try to repair Uplay if somehow its files became corrupted:

    0. Exit Uplay.

    1. Find the location of Uplay files. They're supposed to be here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher

    2. Remove version.txt file or edit it by changing the number inside from "3929" to something like "3900". Better edit, it doesn't always work with removing.

    3. Download Uplay installer from https://uplay.ubi.com/ (scroll the page all the way down, you will see the button).

    4. Open Windows task manager, processes tab and kill every Uplay process if you see any of them there.

    5. Install Uplay from the installation file you downloaded in step 3 (make sure to run the installer as administrator).

    B. There could be also some connection issues. Go through the troubleshooting tips in that article:
    https://support.ubi.com/en-US/FAQ/9/...0000000eio0CAA

Also, you can try to verify and download needed files with or without proxy enabled (Uplay network settings).
